yeah that's true I used the most extreme example but you still cant attempt to influence potential and current jurors...that is pretty much common sense.

No. I couldn't have. I was on private property. I could though, have been charged with public intoxication.

Which did happen to me in 2008. The judge kicked it in court.

And from what I've read, the DA is living in a fantasy world if they think they'll get a conviction. They'd have to prove he was trying to persuade jury opinion in a specific case. He was handing out information pamphlets to every that came by.

It's simple... They don't want us to know that's an option and so they decided to make an example out this guy. He'll probably get acquitted* but that doesn't take way all his lost time, bail money, or cost of a lawyer.

All because he was expressing his first amendment rights and trying to peacefully make a difference about something that mattered to him. They should be ashamed for arresting him, the DA should be ashamed for charging, and you should be ashamed for celebrating it.

But yeah... Let's all beat our chest and wave our flags about how free we are.

*Notice I said probably. There's far too many indoctrinated, obedient, boot lickers like Volbeast out there to be sure. Odds are though that one of the twelve will be capable of rationale thought.

He was giving out general information... not information that was specific to any case.

How hard is that for you to understand?

I'm still tripping on this 2 sleep cycle BS... such an arbitrary length of time. If 2 sleep cycles is good, then 3 would be better, right? Why not 4 breakfast cycles? Why not until the next full moon?

You actually can get the 48 hours if you lawyer up. The police probably won't advise you of that, but if you are involved in a shooting you tell them they need to talk to your lawyer.

look it up online....I know you would never agree with it but it explains how they come up with policy. It was recommended that it be 24-48 hours and policy was set at 48.

Very pathetic. But one has to question how this sheriff's deputy edited this video to remove those remarks in the first place. I mean, come on... Everyone knows that this LEO was targeting a young person for violating a stupid law just to flex his muscles. Truly pathetic here.

That guy has some really good points. I think this article backs up what he is saying. Despite data, TN not declaring prison overcrowding emergency

"Our operating capacity is established lower than the total number of beds available to TDOC. Based on those numbers TDOC is within guidelines and no declaration of overcrowding is required," said Neysa Taylor, a spokesman for the department.

"We consistently utilize efficient bed management strategies to ensure that we are optimizing our resources and taxpayer funding."

Prisons should operate near full percent capacity, Haslam said in a recent interview with The Tennessean.

"I would think that what a state would want is to a have a system that is somewhere between 90 and 100 percent full. You don't want to be at 110 percent, there are some states that are there. And you don't want to be at 70 or 80 percent because that means you've way overbuilt your capacity," Haslam said.

Wait... Are we talking about hotel occupancy rates or prison population?

Are you guys reading this? They are actually trying to maintain a certain level of prison population.

No, a state would want to have a system that is as close to 0% as possible... not 90-100%. Really? How do they control the population/turn on or turn off the faucet? Do they go out and arrest more people for petty crimes some months and slack off when it is too full on other months?
