Just read on TOS that his status with the school could be determined in the next 24-48 hours.

They also said he has to be reinstated before he can enroll for classes.

He would have enrolled in all his classes before now to secure a spot in each class, otherwise they could run out of spots. He still has those classes reserved, he's simply suspended not expelled.

Football players and athletes can get into whatever class they want whether it's full or not I'm sure

How many other people have you called the DA's office about? Oh, this is your first time? Way to take a principled stand simply because the guy plays football

Do you call out other people who only take action due to an ulterior motive? Or are you only calling out "08" because you are familiar with the situation?

You could literally apply that logic to almost everything

Wonder if there will be any organized effort by students to support Von now.
Maybe with some campus signs and banners?
Marching in front of dean of Student Affairs office?

Everybody turns into Martin Luther King when the oppressed wears the right jersey and runs a 4.3 40.

Seriously, how the **** are you this bull headed?

It doesn't matter why someone gets involved as long as they are moved to act. Common sense dictates that people only get involved in things they are interested in.

You have been running your mouth in all these threads trumping the right of the female without knowing **** from shinola about either of the cases presented. Good ol MLK, Uncle Toming because god forbid you look biased and try and support a guy playing ball at the university. In fact your posts are so slanted it makes me wonder if yer scared of black people or just those that have dreads. I'm 40 percent joking.

All that's fine though, nothing prohibits you from getting on your soapbox and burying every player that happens to get a charge thrown his way. What's not fine is your uppity attitude in making assumptions as to what posters have or have not done politically/socially.

He would have enrolled in all his classes before now to secure a spot in each class, otherwise they could run out of spots. He still has those classes reserved, he's simply suspended not expelled.

Since he was under "Interim Suspension", according to his attorney, he was unable to enroll in any classes.

This is the exact reason why the news from yesterday is great, but it is by no means the end of the story. Until the University, not Dave Hart, not Butch Jones, but the Dean of Students, grants an appeal to restore his eligibility, Von Pearson cannot enroll in the upcoming fall semester. If he is not an enrolled student, he is not an eligible player for the football team, no matter what Butch Jones may or may not say.

The next step is for the Dean of Students to restore his eligibility to attend school at the University of Tennessee. After that is done, Von will have to enroll in classes. After that is done, Butch Jones will likely have the compliance director review his academic status to confirm that he meets all the criteria for eligibility. If all of this occurs without a setback, then Butch Jones will decide if Von Pearson is ready to return to the football team.

This is by no means a slam dunk. Von, guilty or not, is not being charged and that is great. But, that does not mean that he is clear of punishment for what he did or did not do.

How can you be punished for something you did NOT do?

I love the diatribe shredding me followed by the cute emoticon.

You're reading way too much into this. You won't find me burying a player ever. Hopefully, this is all behind us now and VP can go on with his life.
