I thought Emmanuel Mosley looked a lot bigger in some of those pictures. That's a really really good thing. Our corners are starting to look elite.

Curt wild-eyed!

Imagine being an opposing QB seeing that coming at you full-speed.....

..... Blood - curtling

Lots of optimism after day one! What is everyone's pick for the "come to Jesus" practice? The practice where the energy isn't there and Butch and the coaches rip the team a new one? Mine is practice 7

I think the team leaders step in if and when this happen...will be another positive leadership moment.

I've always been a fan of the slant. I understand the need for going deep and getting a lot of yards in one hit, but I have watched many other teams just dink and dunk the ball down the field and win games by just doing that effectively. I also think we have a few wideouts that are good and getting YAC.

Man, I miss that guy. One reason I like Maggitt is because I think he has some of the leadership qualities of AW.

I knew a guy that walked on in 97 and he would talk about Al and said the most scared he had been in his life was when he was running scout team and had to take on Al during a play. He said Al took it easy on him and it was still like running into a concrete wall. He said he looked at him and said "thanks for not killing me." Al got a chuckle out of it. Apparently if people weren't giving everything in practice Al would become the human freaking missle he was and destroy them scout team or not.

Didn't even realize he had that many sacks. Our team is getting it

I love O. Williams. I got a kick out of the coaches basically saying the guy honestly didn't know how strong he really is when he showed up, then in an interview Williams was almost bashful about it.

He strikes me as one of those guys that will play well enough here, wander into the NFL through a late round pick or free agency, then wind up staying around for several seasons. Not a superstar, but just a solid guy.

Kind of like a DL Zach Fulton.

For years my dad, who loves to watch UT but doesn't follow the details very closely, said "our players just don't look the same as everybody else. they seem slower and smaller." I didn't really believe it much until Butch started bringing in high caliber guys again, and you can see the difference.

Now we have a team full of them. It's completely changing the competitive landscape of UT football. We're almost back on an even playing field with the rest of the SEC.

I agree with this. The practice videos impress me because there isn't much a physical or athletic drop off among players. In the recent past you'd always see two good players followed by a slew of bumbling walk ons that just didn't look the part. In these videos everyone looks the part. And to think it can and will get better with another recruiting class is pretty incredible. Relevance is just around the corner for us (finally).
