There ya go, buddy. Seriously, I've seen some dumb arguments attempted to be made on here, but no one has ever questioned if cigarettes were harmful to your health as far as I know. This is fantastic. Now, care to address what we're actually talking about, which was GG's opinion that all drug dealers should be killed?

Not sure of the exact definition of a drug, but I'm guessing it's anything physically or psychologically addictive in nature that is harmful to the user. Assuming this to be for the most part correct, that would certainly make alcohol and tobacco a drug. That also makes sugar a drug.

Yet you believe for instance, if the seller of the drugs and a murderer are both sentenced to prison and serve X amount of time, once they have completed their time, BOTH should be treated as normal civilians. Along with being allowed to vote, along with any other incentives and privileges any normal, economy enhancing law abiding citizen should. (Unless you're a child molester of course).

So the weed smoker or seller can go back to doing what landed him or her (for you feminists lol) in prison, while the murderer will have the same exact rights and can go back to buying guns or partake in any actions that also landed him/her in prison.

If you have access to this cool site they call, "Google" i encourage you to look up the term recidivism and also search the percentages in our beloved country. You're very welcome.

Some of your points make sense, but not many make dollars.

Cigarettes definitely increase your risk of getting cancer. I think, for the most part, your genetic make up determines whether you'll get cancer or not in your lifetime though.

100% right about what? That nobody knows exactly what causes cancer? That may be, but it has nothing to do with this thread.

I haven't dug anything. Smoking is no guarantee of an early death, and plenty of smokers outlive non-smokers. Second, it is a scientific fact that light to moderate drinking has health benefits. If you can show any health benefits to snorting cocaine, shooting heroin or meth, or smoking rock, I'd love to hear it.

The nicotine and alcohol angle is about as relevant as saying we need to go after the fast food industry and people stuffing their faces with disgusting corn beef sandwiches. It's a silly straw man argument meant to deflect from the real issue of drug dependency and the havoc it wreaks on families and communities.

He's trying to justify getting high. How alcohol is bad. Smoking cigarettes kills you.

He,like many, need justification for their illegal actions.

Except it's not, because the argument is that x drug is okay because it is less harmful than y drug. But for that argument to hold water, drug x would actually have to be less harmful than drug y. Now, seeing how ignorant you are about this entire subject(wanting to kill any and every drug dealer[except for the drugs you think are okay]), I don't expect much from you. But the statistics, the science, the research all suggests that there are many drugs that are illegal in this country that are less addictive and less harmful than alcohol and tobacco. What do you say about those studies?

You're smoking to feel an affect, and you're drinking to feel an affect, just like someone smoking pot to feel an affect or doing a bump to feel an affect. That's what you're trying to justify. That your vices are less bad than mine.

Look, I know you don't want anyone talking bad about your vices. It makes you look like a drug addict. But trust me, I like alcohol and tobacco too! I think they're great. I don't think they should be illegal. Why do you think other drugs should be illegal?
