Are we talking about the same BB gun incident? It's sad I have to ask that isn't it? I was referring to the fake robbery at the Pilot.
"Only" Nu'kesse, Edwards and Janzen were in that year. The rape allegations, though not all of Butch's recruits happened in the matter of about 6 months.
Sounds like Pearson is going to be cleared. Not sure why you keep lumping him into this. Williams wasn't really a Butch recruit. Just a track guy Butch convinced to walk on. None of that fits your agenda though.
So convincing a kid to walkon means he isn't one of Butch's guys? I have no agenda. I've said it's not Butch's responsibility to watch them all the time. But it's hypocritical to roast past staffs and other staffs around the country, when we've had our fair share of trouble and then act like Butch walks on water cause he punishes them. I lump Pearson in because he was ACCUSED of rape, I've not once said he was convicted or would be convicted of rape.

So if the KPD finds no reason to charge Pearson with anything your still going to assume he messed up for your little witch hunt? Makes sense.

That seems pretty clear to most people. Not entirely sure why BG is intent on making this an issue.
What am I making an issue? I just think it's comical that because "Butch gets it", his off field issues are in no way a shadow on him. But if you don't win enough or screw us over every issue is a direct reflection of you. Folks love Butch, so he's immune from criticism. It's happening in this very thread or any postgame thread. You hate Butch, you're a troll, you love Kiffin, you're trying to start something etc etc is the common theme anytime he and the staff are questioned about anything. It's cult-like at times.

I was referring more to your level of persistence. You've been dogging this pretty hard. We get it. You think Kiffin is unfairly criticized, while Butch gets a pass.
From my perspective, the simple answer is personal integrity. Kiffin *appeared* to lack it, and Butch *appears* to have it. I honestly don't know if either true, but in 8 years as a head coach, Butch hasn't been characterized by a lack of integrity. The same cannot be said about Kiffin.
The persistence is because others respond so I respond again. I'll drop it so I don't misconstrue the premise of a message board anymore.
People blame coaches too much instead of the kids. Let's be honest the stuff the kids do is not butchs fault at all. There is no "cloud" over butch. Kiffin gets flack because kiffin is was and will always be a douchebag.
