'16 FL RB Carlin Fils-Aime (Vol commit 7/30/15)

Does anyone else think he tipped his hat to Tennessee just to make a big splash and commit to Auburn this weekend? Or am I just thinking too much

One thing that does scare me or maybe more confusing is why say Tennessee is your leader three days before your announcement? Either way I hope CFA is a Vol come NSD

No matter where he goes, if he has recovered from his injury, he will be a great back for somebody. Especially in a system like ours.

Gonna have to make it over to a Naples game this year it seems. One thing is for sure, you can't knock the competition he's balling out against.

I just hope Miami doesn't come calling at the 11th hour and steal him. That's my only concern.

Looks like a big time back though. AU knows their RBs.

Coach G keeps on doing work.

He's got some sick film.. Anybody know what kind of competition he's playing against?

Very good competition. Naples always plays a tough schedule including top teams from the east coast. They're usually in the state title hunt.

Just based off film, not a ton of difference in Feaster and CFA. Feaster is the better receiver but that's about it. CFA is a little more physical

Fils-Aime is a fine back and I don't mean to downplay his abilities, but Feaster is significantly bigger and definitely faster.

CFA has self-reported a 4.42 40 time, but his top track times (11.39 100, 23.51 200) suggest his speed is nowhere close to Feaster's (10.42 & 21.11).

CFA appears to be fully recovered from his ankle injury & resulting surgery, which was done on Sept. 24th.

Fils-Aime scored four touchdowns in his first seven touches as the Golden Eagles rolled over North Miami Senior High 43-6 in their spring football game on Friday night.

Fils-Aime, who needed season-ending surgery last season after injuring his ankle in Game 3, had TD runs of 13, 29, 27 and 18 yards. He had 121 yards on eight carries in the second quarter as the Golden Eagles led 24-0. He finished with 150 yards on 10 carries.

"My left now feels stronger and more durable than my right," Fils-Aime said. "I did treadmill, bike, worked on speed. I finished ahead of time (in rehab) by about 2 ½ weeks.

Prep football: Naples

CAF is really fast though. Go watch the 3rd play of his tape.

im just giving you a hard time.

well you do stay on this site. Which is disturbing since Youre not even a vol fan.

I visit a lot of rival boards. I've seen a lot of what they have to offer in terms of information and discussion.

If I were I rival fan, I'd spend a lot of time here too.

If you're good enough, you're fast enough. If you're good enough, you're big enough. He'll be a fine SEC running back once he gets in and hits the weights while going on the nutrition plan. I've watched Feaster and CFA films and I've said all along that I don't see a dime's worth of difference between the two. I'm sticking to it.

Offers from:

Auburn
Alabama
Tennessee
South Carolina
Georgia
Florida
Michigan
Miami
Ohio St.
etc.
etc.

All of those teams know what a good running back looks like. CFA will be a great pickup if he decides to put on that orange hat.

Gotta have a plan "B" in our back pocket. This staff does a good job at doing so.

Very good competition. Naples always plays a tough schedule including top teams from the east coast. They're usually in the state title hunt.

We played Naples in the kickoff jamboree Duane Coleman's SR year. He had like 8 carries for 200+ and 4 TD's. 55-7 later, we finally got to leave that massacre. At that time no one knew how good Naples was, cause we were so pitiful. They ended up 15-0, 5-A state champs and a top 25 national ranking. The Naples teams of the early to mid 2000's were unbelievable.

Naples (Fla.) running back Carlin Fils-Aime will announce his commitment Saturday, and unless something changes, it will be to Tennessee.

"Tennessee is No. 1," Fils-Aime said Wednesday night. "But Auburn is a close second."

Fils-Aime will commit to Tennessee on Saturday unless Auburn can change his mind.
Fils-Aime, 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, also has Miami and North Carolina in his group of finalists. He visited all four over the summer, including stops in the last two weeks at Auburn, North Carolina and Tennessee.

"My last visit was to Tennessee and it really was amazing," Fils-Aime said. "I connected well with the coaches, and the stadium was phenomenal."

Auburn isn't far behind in second place. Fils-Aime spoke with Auburn offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee and running backs coach Tim Horton on Tuesday.

"It's pretty close between Tennessee and Auburn," Fils-Aime said. "Auburn has a beautiful campus, and Coach Horton and Coach Lashlee are great people. When I got there (July 17), we had a lot of conversations and they were very upfront.

"I also spoke with (freshman running back) Kerryon Johnson, and if I were to go there we would be twins. We would hang out 24/7. We got along great."

Fils-Aime, ranked the No. 14 running back in the 2016 class, will make his announcement during a ceremony at Naples High. He has not set a time for his announcement.

"It's going to be a really tough decision," Fils-Aime said.

Rivals ranks Fils-Aime the No. 51 overall player in Florida.
