'16 FL RB Carlin Fils-Aime (Vol commit 7/30/15)

I don't think it's us "taking" him as much as it should sound more like we'd "get" him. Yall make it sound like he's a Rocky Reid reach. He's not. He's one of our top 3 RB targets. You can't bank on Feaster at all. Recruiting and slow playing kids is all about risk vs reward. Getting CFA to commit would be absolutely huge for this class.

Keep in mind he missed a ton of time last season with a bad ankle. He will only go up from here, in terms of his stock.

Rocky Reid!!!

Remember all the ostriching over that guy...

I feel like CFA to Aub, Holyfield to UGA, Feaster sticks with CU and we get a rb that no one talks a lot about but will be viewed as the next Barry Sanders to many on here. Bury me

Someone mentioned Miami for CAF now that Amir guy went to FSU

i wish we still had rocky reid somewhere in our backfield this year for some depth.

I wouldn't want a guy who would probably never break the two deep to take up a scholarship for four years for only depth purposes. Especially when it is such an important and game changing position like RB. I would rather hold off to take a more talented running back later.

I do however wish the coaches would have given Kendall Bussey a scholarship right off the bat and not a blueshirt offer. I thought he would have been pretty good here.

You have no idea what he would have done though. My opinion is that I think Reid will be a good college running back. But i have no idea. Instead we took even lower rated Joe Young who may end up being a good player as well. Who knows. I think he has alot more ability than ppl realize. From a really small town and had some good late offers. But to act like you know for sure that Reid wouldnt break the 2 deep in his career is absurd.

Barry Sanders wasn't "the next Barry Sanders" when he was recruited. :)

Of course I have no idea that for sure he wouldn't have been good. That's why I used the word "probably" when saying he wouldn't have break the two deep. What were his good late offers? If he was a take for any of those teams TN would have kept his commitment and he wouldn't have signed with Wake Forest. We are just gonna have to agree to disagree on his talent.

I have been optimistic about Joe Young, but I probably wouldn't have extended a blue shirt offer and saved that spot.

Why should that be held against him? The same thing happens in Feaster's tape. He ran over or through as many people he outran on that film

It was just an observation. It wasn't meant to be held against him as something negative.

AU has alot of backs. Better oppurtunity at UT.
Roc Thomas
Robinson
Barber
Kerryon Johnson
Javarius Stewart
Damien Stewart

They also have FB/RB Malik Miller committed for 2016.

Four-star running back Carlin Fils-Aime of Naples (Fla.) said Wednesday night he will announce his college choice "Friday or Saturday" and that Tennessee currently holds a slim lead over Auburn.

"Those are my top two," Fils-Aime told AuburnUndercover. "Tennessee is ahead of Auburn. It's pretty close. It's actually pretty tough."

The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Fils-Aime is the No. 10 running back in the 247Sports Composite.

He visited Auburn on July 17 and the Vols six days later.

What has Tennessee in front?

"Just when I went there, it just felt like a perfect fit and my parents even said it," Fils-Aime said. "They went with me and they agreed it would be the perfect fit me for. They said I was more happy -- my expressions were happier than when I went to Auburn or any other school we went to."

He added, "They said they are only taking one back -- one back -- this year and they want it to be me."

Ah, CFA used the old "coaches are only taking one back and they want it to be me" line. Will be very interesting to see how this plays out with the coaches apparently telling Feaster the same thing. CFA may commit to us, but I think ultimately if Feaster wants in he gets in.

Just based off film, not a ton of difference in Feaster and CFA. Feaster is the better receiver but that's about it. CFA is a little more physical
