Someone on VQ mentioned that he saw Pearson and Malik Foreman cliff jumping near Knoxville on Saturday. The guy talked to Pearson and found out that Pearson received some big news regarding his case on Friday that will clear his name and that the entire team is aware of it as well.

To add to this, Pearson posted a cryptic tweet on July 24 (Friday) that just said "Colossal". Maybe referring to the news? Not much of an official update, but time is running out and I think that if his name gets cleared, it will happen in the next 7 days.

I'll be so pumped if he gets reinstated. This is starting to remind me of the Pig suspension last summer that everyone was weary about up until the point he was officially back on the team. Getting VP back would be huge for the Vols.

If Von's not charged by August 1st I think Butch should reinstate him with the team. They have had over 3 months to do something and haven't. It's not fair to the young man to not let him try to reach his goals if there's no case against him. IMO

Are we sure that's all that's holding him up at this point? I haven't really followed that well so forgive me. Nobody around town knows anything g about it when I ask. Even a few players on the team I know have no idea. Or they are told to say that. I recall at one point the girl dropped charges, is that's still so?

I agree. They've had ample time to bring charges. Reinstate him and let him get on with his life until PROVEN GUILTY. The way this is playing out simply isn't right. Essentially he's guilty until proven innocent. Just wrong.

Just saw Von at the Walmart downtown while checkin out. He had a gal with him and he (and her) we both smiling and seemed to be having a good time.

No real news here just looked like he was happy and maybe that gives some credence to the rumor about the news he got last Friday...

I saw a tweet from the vol for life Facebook group that said Von Pearson could possibly be cleared in the next 7 days.....I have tried to find something from a beat writer or more official, thought I might see it on this thread.
