Iran deal unlikely: what's next?

Nothing says "I've brokered a strong deal" like immediately threatening to veto any attempts to halt it from being implemented.

...no kidding

wonder what the chances are this gets shot down by the senate

Too early to tell, imo. If it is a bad deal I think it will be shutdown. I do not think the GOP Senate will pass it unless the deal is an okay deal. Pundits from both sides are jumping to conclusions before they actually know what the deal is.

Correct. But particularly vigorously from the GOP

What the hell does this mean? Inspectors have to say pretty please?

Another significant agreement will allow U.N. inspectors to press for visits to Iranian military sites as part of their monitoring duties, something the country's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, had long vowed to oppose. However, access isn't guaranteed and could be delayed, a condition that critics of the deal are sure to seize on as possibly giving Tehran time to cover up any illicit activity.

We make a deal to a country that screams "Death to America". Sad thing is, Iran and Russia are ecstatic about this deal. Something doesn't sound right to me.

Just saw that we're removing the IRGC and Quds Force from the sanctions list, good fricking grief.

When you're biggest geopolitical rival is praising the deal you're in trouble. Putin has also immediately demanded the end of the European missile shield since "Iran is no longer a threat".

That too is probably a forgone conclusion at some point.

Whether or not we want to admit it, we are forced to take a certain side in this crap in the ME. We have long been on the side of the stronger, Israel, but have been moving closer and closer to the side of Iran in efforts to try and appear in the middle. I'm afraid that we are slowly becoming an enemy to Israel and they have more weapons, so it might not be the smartest of decisions IMO.
