I've seen comparisons to Owens on here, while that isn't too far off ATM, I think Alexander has far more potential than Owens, and I think he has a better frame to grow into.
My only concern is how well he knows the game. I've heard he only started playing two years ago? (fact check)
his dad played and his sister in was a first round WNBA pic I am pretty sure his basketball IQ will come along just fine.I've seen comparisons to Owens on here, while that isn't too far off ATM, I think Alexander has far more potential than Owens, and I think he has a better frame to grow into.

The guys he was blocking seemed slower and a lot less athletic. If those are his best highlights.. He has a much longer way to go than Tariq. I haven't seen Alexander play and I'm solely going off those highlights, so TIFWIWWhat highlights did you watch???? Dude looks just fine in the ones I have seen.

We'll see. I'll bring it up in 2-3 years. Tariq would have done way better if he was heavier. He was on the bench because he didn't matchup well with the heavier centers.T. Owens has good skills but will never get strong enough to make it to the NBA.
Kyle is NBA Potential. It takes most big men a few years to develop offensively. I think that kyle will play more than Owens did last year. He will not score much but he will rebound and play good d. He will get better and better.
I think by their junior years, Kyle will be a much better player than Owens. Just my opinion I could be wrong. Really like Owens and hope the best for him.
Not sure how many of those are still looking. Recruiting has changed with more prospects emerging later and later. We'll see. I'll bring it up in 2-3 years. Tariq would have done way better if he was heavier. He was on the bench because he didn't matchup well with the heavier centers.
Lets ask this, if he has such great NBA potential why were his best offers New Mexico and Rice? Someone said "well Duke, Kentucky don't recruit projects", but isn't it odd none of the high-mid major programs didn't offer? I mean no Wichita State, Xavier, SDSU, Butler or any program similar. I know I'll get hate for this post, but I've seen it said about a lot of our other recruits who weren't top 150 recruits.

Willie came out and said the transfer was completely his decision. Just throwing that there. The thing about all of this Owens/Alexander talk is that people tend to portray it as an either/or situation. "I'd rather have kept Owens" etc.. This was never a possibility; he was gone, and we needed size. With things looking grim for Izundu, Barnes probably took the bird in hand with KA. I think it was a good decision.
For those saying "But we had size with Carmichael, and he was a sophomore who had been through the rigors of the SEC!", let me offer this counter:
1. WC was still vastly unproven and a bit undersized.
2. CRB has traditionally recruited taller bigs.
3. CRB obviously saw nothing in WC that indicated "hey, this guy can succeed in my system and contribute down the road." Thus, Willie is gone.
-Rick Barnes BOCHe is a player, a lot like Ray (Kasongo), that we are excited about, because we knew we needed to get some size, Barnes said. We knew that. And we are excited with Kyle for a lot of reasons. One, hes got length. Terrific hands. Hes quick off the ground, a great second and third jump. Hasnt been playing very long, but hes got some great blood in his family in the fact hes got a sister who plays in the WNBA. His father played Division I basketball.

Well.. We'll get to see what he brings this year.
