Sitting at a red light with a woman in a suv in front of me.

The two lanes to our right are turning lanes to get on the interstate. They turn green and she goes, as well as I do. She stops, I tried to stop. I bumped her. No damage. The dust on either vehicle was disturbed.

I got out of the truck and checked on her. She was holding her neck and stating she didn't know where she was. I asked if she wanted to pull off the road and wait on the cops. She acted dumb again.

She finally pulled up over out of the way in a store parking lot. Called the police. I checked on her again.

The cop showed up, looked at her vehicle and my truck (dump truck) he told me the woman complained of injury and the medics were on their way.
He told me she was fine but he had to cover his butt.

He said normally he would have done an accident report and we would go on our way. No ticket. But because she claimed injury I get a ticket.

The cop told my boss and our safety response team that he did not want to cite me but had no choice.

So I just did a dot accident testing. Breathalyzer and urine test.

You drunk SOB causing serious and legitimate, non LG-injury to unsuspecting, innocent women who drive correctly. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Yeah, that's a prickly situation. The woman saw $$ as soon as she realized it was a heavy truck that tapped her. Sorry to say but that will go down as a preventable.

Did he give you a following too closely?

Did she show proof of insurance? Was she hot? If she was, did you get her digits? If so, can you pass it along to your buddies? :)

This happened to a customer of mine a few years back. You couldn't see any damaged to the lady's car. She said she was hurt and what not....claim stayed open about two years and the stinkin' insurance company paid the leech $95,000. I'm still tempted to drive out and burn her damn house down just fro general principle.

Yep.

Bad thing is I am the safety rep over the 20 trucks. Lol.

I get paid to stay home tomorrow and a ass chewing meeting Thursday morning.

Oh. I forgot to add, after the paramedics showed up, she was fine.

Cop mumbled under his breath and told me to call him if I need anything.

Stuff like that, Oby, is why I'm actually interested in a dashcam for my car.

Honestly insurance companies shouldn't mandate them but they should subsidize the use of dashcams in their customers cars.

A dashcam would be good, indisputable evidence to have in the case something like this gets dragged to court. Someone whipping in front of me and brake-checking me has always been a long-standing paranoia of mine.

Sorry this happened to you man.

Go pro seems to be popular in Russia over things similiar to this. I should have had my phone recording when I got out of the truck to record her.

She then lied to the officer and our safety team.

No need.

I screwed up. This goofy ass woman is looking for a check.

What kind of right wing, conservative, Tea Party, racist nut job are you?

That will be enough of that here, admitting fault and taking personal responsibility is frowned upon in this forum.

Boys... Very few things are more relaxing than laying in a hammock in your back yard, on a beautiful summer night, with your 5 year old and 6 month old boys by your side.

Laying in a hammock with my boys on a 70 degree day is better lol.

Just curious Ob... was there a reason, or did she give a reason, for stopping so abruptly after starting to pull out?
