Why did it change from global warming to climate change?
Ok, then why do we hear nothing of global warming anymore?
Thought so
I calls em like I sees em. Arent you now agreeing that it is indeed nonsense?
Considering your initial reaction to the story, I find it pretty rich that you'd complain about confirmation bias
It didn't. It is climate change caused by global warming. They're actually two different terms. Both of these terms have been used for over 40 years now. Climate change refers (obviously) to changes in climatic patterns, global warming refers to the build up of energy within Earth's climate system. They are not synonyms.
The term "climate change" was used in the context of anthropogenic warming due to carbon dioxide in 1956: The Carbon Dioxide Theory of Climatic Change - PLASS - 2010 - Tellus - Wiley Online Library
If you read somewhere or were told that they changed the name, you now know that source is not trustworthy. Think about it. No, really. THINK. Don't just ignore that what you said is verifiably false. You can also use Google Scholar and see that global warming as a term actually came about later, and that both terms are still in use for their respective meanings.
I don't know, why don't you? I hear about it all the time.

Global Warming - Scientific American
The term is still used all the time, I can not say why you personally do not hear about it.
What exactly is the end result of all of this that you are afraid of?
A blight that thrives on nitrogen and destroys the okra crop during which humanity turns its back on science and returns to its farming roots. However, a hero emerges which travels through a wormhole to discover potential habitable planets before traveling back to the solar system via a black hole to find the calculations he discovered will save the species.
I should write a script for a movie based on that...
And it could star Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz...or, maybe Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway. Don't forget to include wisecracking robots and it'll be a hit.
So Experts, riddle me this: What exactly is the end result of all of this that you are afraid of? The Human species dying out? The poles flipping? What exactly is this concern of yours? I keep hearing this talk about we've gone too far to fix so what are we headed for?
