Ok, we've beaten the drunk drivers over the head enough I'd say. What legislation could the gov bring into being that would simply be too much for you? Where is your line in the sand?

I will have to let u know when they make them.....I do think there are too many laws but u can typically figure out why they were made and it's bc someone was trying to take advantage of the system. I think we have to have laws in order to have a civilization.

Driving 80 through my neighborhood where my kids play..... Even if nobody gets killed or property destroyed that's BS

Of course it is. Do we need laws against that activity? And, will those laws actually prevent it?
Or, could you and your community come together and put together some speed bumps or other such preventive measures?

Could you name a few of what you think qualifies as "too many laws"

The speed bumps infringe upon me more than a posted speed limit

I agree. Seems like an enormous cluster*****.

Fining people for being in a certain lane? Ridiculous, simply more extortion by the state.

Fines and penalties for HOV violations:

First Offense: $75.00 maximum (plus court fees)
Second Offense: $100.00 maximum (plus court fees)
Third Offense: $150.00 maximum (plus court fees)
Fourth Offense: $150.00 maximum (plus court fees), and one point on the driver's record.

That's a libertarian pile of crap. The mere threat of harm to others as Well as oneself is the driving force behind plenty of just laws.

How do you feel about seatbelt laws? What about making smoking illegal?

These are behaviors that can cause direct harm to oneself and others. What defines "just" in this case?

I don't agree that it's extortion....it was a way to fix a real problem but I don't agree with the route they took to fix it...I think HOV cause as big a problem as what they were trying to fix.

It doesn't affect anyone else physically but it effects medical and insurance rates....I'm not arguing for seatbelt laws bc I don't necessarily agree with them.

I'm not telling your insurance what to do. If they don't cover you for not wearing a seatbelt, that's fine. But you should still be able to make your own decision.
