Good move for Tony. Cut his losses and get a good driver. Bowyer going to SHR may boost him like it has Harvick.
Ummmm?Unless Bowyer is able to bring Childers over to his team he'll never even get close to achieving what Harvick has..IMO the success Harvick has had is nothing short of phenomenal..And I've been a Harvick fan from his first race after Dale Sr's death..IMO Harvick/Childers is without a doubt the best driver/crew chief combo in Nascar..Johnson/Knaus is close but IMO they are still a distant 2nd..To start COMPLETELY from scratch, top to bottom, and win a championship at the same time should go down as possibly the greatest achievement in Cup history..

Different scenarios. OP was saying it was really impressive how they built the team from the ground up in a couple months and then won the championship in that year. Kulwicki was very impressive too, winning the championship as an owner/driver however his team was around for several years before winning a championship.
With the differences in the level of competition back then as compared to 2014, I'll take what Harvick and Childers did from scratch...As for JJ and his 5 I didn't say anything about it not being impressive..My point was Harvick and Childers did it without benefit of working together in Sprint Cup before..With the parity at the Cup level being what it is I guarantee you NOBODY predicted much of anything from them before the season started, much less a Championship..But feel free to call the point stupid if you so choose....
JMHO
BTW I was referring to the 2014 season only, not KH's career..RCR wasted Harvick's talent for the first part of his career..Maybe SHR can provide a better opportunity to HAVE a body of work to reflect upon
You said his championship was possibly the greatest achievement in Cup history. That's not even close to being the case. So I put in perspective, and it doesn't measure up.
