They took his prime years, that's for sure. Harvick is approaching 38.

It wouldn't be so bad if drivers would actually pull out of line and others following. But so many are content eith just finishing where they are.

Still don't think he should come back this season. He isn't going to make the Chase anyways so let him fully rest up and go 100% next season. Plus it will allow Gibbs to get some valuable experience for Erik as well.

I don't think he'll be able to get into the top 30 in points after missing 1/3 season and having not raced with the new rules package yet.

He is going to have to be in the top 30 in points. If he comes back by the July Daytona race that would leave a 10 race stretch to make up that ground. During that stretch he is going to have to run the best 10 races of his career and has to win at least once to get in. With Daytona being his first race and combine that with the nature of RP racing we're immediately going to throw that one out. That leaves him 9 other races to make ground, I just don't see him doing it especially coming back from an injury like his.
