To Protect and to Serve...

I actually remember seeing that the other day. I started to read it but couldn't make it out of first paragraph do to the arrogance and condescension.

Either way... I made it all the way through this time. What about it?

Your definition of arrogant and mine must be radically different.

I see there is no discussing anything on this subject with you in a rational manner.

Cause and effect... what was the catalyst for the riots? Or, what gave the losers a convenient excuse to pillage and steal beer and televisions?

An answer to either question would be appreciated.

There is no excuse for this crap..... My post about Baltimore being on fire was a sarcastic reaction to what was being said on the news..... At last three times I heard them say a property was on fire, but that it may not be related to the rioting..... Yeah right

So it's impossible for fires to start independent of riots? That simply sounds like good journalism to me. Untell you know something, you shouldn't report as if you do.

Do you have a real argument for this arbitrary rule that you enforce?

Enforced? I'm retired.

Anyway, I rarely had an open container that wasn't followed with a DUI.

Nine times out of ten if there was no stupidity or aggressive drunkenness from a passenger with an open container, it got poured out or put in the trunk with a warning to the driver.

Yeah numerous buildings typically spontaneously combust down the street from full blown riots..... What was I thinking?

In your first paragraph you describe how useless correcting our misconceptions would be because all we're interested in is being ignorant and outraged and certainly not hearing all the facts. The thing is... Those things your calling facts are what the rest of call opinions. I realize that years of law enforcement have blurred the distinction, but that doesn't mean it isn't there.

You call me arrogant? Lol

Again, all you're proving is you can't have a reasonable discussion. Your own hatred and stereotypes are blurring your own ability to have any sort of conversation.

What discussion can be had with a person who sees their stance as fact and labels any questioning of that simply being too stubborn to allow you to correct us?

Because many times things that were being said were wrong. And yet I couldn't even attempt to interject a correction without some jumping in and automatically assuming I was supporting what happened. You whined about someone taking your words out of context, how about showing that same consideration? But never mind that since I'm arrogant and probably have it coming to me.

And if you want to talk about condescending, let's talk about your own condescending statement of "try to tell the truth." Why don't you point out where I haven't been truthful before making a statement like that.

I flatly refuse to have any conversation with you since you will just resort to childish insults and twisting of words. If you want to call that arrogance, so be it. But until you can talk about things in a rational fashion, it's no use talking about anything with you.

Okay...

You are aware you could have just easily avoided this discussion about 3 hours and several hissy fits ago and just not engaged in the first place right? That's generally what I do.

lol, it's cute when you think I'm throwing a hissy fit.

I wonder how much of the current problems with police forces around the country can be blamed on "dumbing down" the police entrance exams in order to help certain demographic groups feel better about themselves when taking a standardized test?

It seems like every time you lower standards, you end up with an inferior product.

Strange that it's not "certain demographic groups" as your racist ass implies, who are killing unarmed men and women at a frightening rate.

So it's racist to point out that the police are actively recruiting a less intelligent and independent demographic? Does race automatically jump to the forefront of your mind when this is mentioned? Who's the racist?

So the "certain demographic" that he refuses to name, you're convinced he's talking about stupid people?

You believe, he's claiming standards for police officers have been lowered so that more stupid people can become cops?

Damn you are retarded!

I'm not the one who championed lowering the standards. It was liberals like you who didn't think blacks were as smart as whites, Asians and Hispanics and fought to dumb down the entrance exams in order to allow more blacks to become police officers.

The natural and unintended consequence of that policy is that more dumb whites can become cops.

Care to explain another reason?
