What does love have to do with money? If the courts really cared about kids, they would mandate (and enforce) fathers spending a certain amount of time with their kids along with or instead of money.

Plenty of poor people are able to raise kids with very little money, so obviously, the money isn't the determining factor of what helps to raise a kid.
The courts can't force u to love ur kids....I spend tons of time with my daughter and try to make her feel special....men should stop being pu$$ies and step up to their responsibilities

Long ago, when I was a cook, I worked with a guy who had been an executive chef of a restaurant that was sold and he lost his job. He certainly wasn't rich before but made around $60k a year. Either way... After that he couldn't find a job and ended up accepting a sous chef position at the place I worked. He made about $14 and hour there. Obviously with his salary basically cut in half, he couldn't afford his child support as it was. He had to get his lawyer (a huge expense itself) and try to get his child support payments lowered. His ex was being extremely difficult and the court date kept getting delayed. Long story short with lawyer and court fees coupled with the delay in getting the payments reduced he wound up in massive debt. He was married and had a third kid with his current wife. Last I spoke with him the situation was destroying his current marriage.

This guy loved his kids like crazy and was trying as hard as he possibly could. The deck is so stacked against males that it's not even funny. I've looked into it and stories like this aren't as uncommon as you'd think. Volbeast...Your assumption that falling behind on your child support automatically makes you a low life just shows your ignorance on the subject.

The court isn't the one that should be setting those responsibilities. When a man's job situation changes, his ability to support his family changes. Also, child support isn't pay to play. You should still be able to see your kids whether you are behind or not.

The prisons are filled up with kids that didn't have a father in their life... not a father that didn't pay child support.

But..isnt that technically still part of "Drugs ruin your life"?

I mean kids ruin your life unless you don't let the chick know who you are when you knock her up..same thing.

Is the moral here not to tell the dragon your name?

Lol ok

If you're that sick why don't you leave instead of trying to change something? The Colorado experiment is working great. lol

Good point, it definitely is. Let's see, if you want more freedom you should move, but I'm definitely not a fascist.

Roger that

Or remove laws to give me freedom to become a drug addict with no repercussions, but I'm definitely not an anarchist......or other.

Especially if they're crying about laws

So now any disagreement with a law is considered crying. Well you won the argument.

Since you brought up Colorado, I'll ask this question. When you used cannabis, what was it that made you think we should lock people in metal cages over it?

All laws should be challenged. This isn't a police state, yet.

It is already a police state. Our government does not follow it's own constitution and routinely lies under oath. I'll check the police state box on this one.

And they've even convinced the public that when someone (Snowden) exposes the governments failure to follow the constitution (search and seizure), that the whistle blower should be convicted of treason.

Not he actual government employee who authorized these illegal activities, but the whistle blower. That's the real bad guy.

Wtf is wrong with people?
