It was JMO. In Dobbs HS film, he didn't really blow by too many people. He had several nice runs though. JG damn near looks like a sprinter on a few of those runs.
It was just tape comparison. I mean, I could be wrong. I would guess that JG could run a 40 around the high 4.5s or low 4.6s. Dobbs is smooth and fluid. JG just striked me as a faster player. His acceleration is really good. Looks like he hits full speed around his 3rd step.
But to answer your question, it was just my opinion. I should have put "he looks faster than Dobbs" instead of making it sound like a definitive statement.

Similar play from Dobbs (o/w game). 1:10 mark.
If you compare those 2 plays and still don't see it, I give up. I understand one is vs our D, one is high school. But just look at how ground is being covered. JG is wide open. Dobbs is more of a glider/rambling runner.
That's fine. Hindsight is a SOB.
You'll see.
I'd say they will both be invited to the NFL combine at some point, but then again even official 40 times wouldn't convince some people.
Rutgers legacy, IIRC. This is so predictable, plan A decommits, plan B commits and he automatically is a better prospect, better arm, better legs, better football IQ, better leader, etc.
Didn't want A anyway, he can kick rocks! lol
