Even More Obamacare Follies

It may have a rationing effect.

Let me make certain i understand you; you pay $10,800 in premium for the year and must pay the first $6,800 ( $17,600 total) of your medical services before the insurance benefits begin?

Boggles the mind doesn't it? this POS law has screwed me like you wouldn't believe.

You got to keep your doctor, right? You got to keep your insurance, right? Oh wait... sorry.

Obolacare is the biggest abortion the democrats supported.

Sorry Carl, seriously. Best of luck to you and yours to remain healthy.

Thanks..... Just think what a kick in the teeth it would be if a kid tore an acl like a couple of years ago. Anyone that thinks the middle class isn't getting screwed by this law is just dumb. If your combined household income is $94k and above you don't qualify for any subsidy.

Is a Health Savings Account an option for you?

I've had one at work since last January and I think this is the best option - you can save tax free and the savings account stays with you regardless of employer.

I believe you I've just never been offered that through our health insurance. It's the flex spending account and you either use it or lose it.

I think ours just started in 2010 or 2011 - can't remember.

I like it a lot - don't think I will ever change back to a traditional plan.

Try again ..... Here's what a family of 6 gets in TN for $900/month when you don't qualify for subsidies
I'm 47, wife is 45 .... 4 kids

If your not receiving a subsidy, then you are indirectly paying a subsidy to someone else through these high prices. Obamacare is a transfer of wealth scheme. As a result, no one knows the true cost of insurance. What would the premiums be if the government wasn't involved? Also, how/who decided the current cost of the (bronze silver and gold) plans as they are stated? It couldn't have been free market forces. The prices are basically being set ie. Gruberized.

More like analized..... If you really review the various plans you'll see that the benefit levels are definitely rationed. One will give you dr copays, but no drug card and things like that.
Rationed care and overpaying to subsidize those receiving subsidies is all this POS law is about.

Don't forget stuffing huge amounts of cash into the insurance companies pockets. It's about that also.
