Ukraine Protests

What does this mean exactly?! Withdraw where?

Artemivsk more than likely. At this point they may as well keep going to Lviv. The world is letting Russia get away with this. Why even keep fighting? When you are up against endless weapons and soldier supply and you have nothing to fight with, why bother?

Complete meltdown going on....Ukrainian sources are trashing this whole chain of events. Russia pushes a UNSC resolution for world to honor the Minsk agreement all while Russia promotes the violation of said agreement. You just cannot make this stuff up.

Honestly surprised the military hasn't launched a coup. This is getting close to treason for Petro. I wonder how much is on him and how much is on the incompetency of the General Staff.

At this point what can any of them do? It's a catch-22. Petro has been desperately holding out for any help from the outside world. They have nothing to fight with. Because of that no one wants to go and be cannon fodder armed with outdated weapons with no ammo. The Russians are pouring people and weapons in. Because the Russians have no qualms about breaking agreements and the West will not, there is nothing left. Poroshenko accepted Minsk II hoping it would buy him some more time. Problem is even under a signed agreement the Russians are pressing on. The buying of time is done. The Russians are poking down south near Mariupol as well hoping Azov loses control and fights back thus given the Russians the "excuse" that Minsk was broken.

Until outside intervention beyond words happens Ukraine loses. Every single death that is happening now is on the West's hands.

If there's one thing I've learned from this conflict thus far, it's that the Ukrainian Air Force really sucks.

Another curiosity....Russian Lt. Gen Alexander Lentsov has been one of the "monitors" sitting at the Ukrainian JCC during all of this time. This is behind the lines. So why was he at the site of the marching of the Ukrainian POW's today? How does he leave the Ukrainian JCC and get behind enemy lines? And why is he watching the oversight of prisoners being marched to who knows where? You see the POW's and then at the 10 minute mark the "uninvolved" Russian general...

Did that bunch of low-life scum march prisoners in public again? I didn't watch the video. Just give me the skinny.

It was the usual parading but not like the Givi and Zakarchenko GC violations. I was more concerned over the fact that a deputy commander of the Russian ground forces (former DC of airborne forces) was there onsite. Why would one of Russia's top generals be on the ground overseeing this whole operation? The OSCE, who is supposed to be there, cannot even get there but this guy leaves a joint control command center and goes right through the lines safely and views prisoner transport. But Russia is still not involved.

They don't have anything to pour into the pocket. Pull those guys out and live to fight another day.

Really tears into Ras' argument that this was a US investment unless you want to argue that Obama screws up everything he touches. Hard to believe Nuland would let her creation fall to pieces....

You just said it yourself... they are going to ty to come back later on with another strategy. This was a total debacle from Day 1. If we really were a country about laws anymore, heads would be rolling in the State Department right now and Obama would be in the middle of impeachment proceedings. Napoleon, Hilter and Obama... all failing in the Russian Motherland during the winter.

It may be the least bad move now to save the troops. But the spin is ridiculous. They were defeated, during the "ceasefire".

Why didn't they surrender when it was time for the ceasefire to begin Saturday at midnight? Just a waste of times and lives on their part.

You do see the sarcasm in my statement right? Since Nuland and the US DID NOT orchestrate this, your whole post is irrelevant. Country of laws? You may want to reexamine how Russia is these days. Funny the things you point at your country for and what you give a pass for in Russia. And still the defender of fascism. You really like this guy don't you?

Someone must be having fun in the CNN graphics department.

Why should they have surrendered? They did not need to and they did not have to. The lines were to be frozen as they were. This was in the agreement they all signed. There was no call to surrender but there was a call to stop fighting. Apparently, Russia and her puppets do not understand what they signed and just like to break and change the rules as they seem fit. I'd like to think they are not that stupid in what they signed. I'd rather they be stupid though rather than just flat out evil and devious to just have no regard for the peace they signed and no regard for the lives of the people they've killed since the cease fire was signed.

I don't give Russia a pass. I just expect more from us... we are the ones that posture ourselves as the land of freedom and justice.
