He would do well, I'm sure.. The 3 QBs we have committed for this year are tailor made for our style IMO. I wouldn't say he's bettr than all 3 just yet.

Kendal can do it all. He is very athletic. He is a better fit than Dormady. He is more polished as a thrower than all 3. Jones and Jennings are better runners but Kendall is no slouch. I don't like to say he is better than all 3 already because I don't know what his mentality is. As we have seen mental presence can wipe out physical talent. I know the 3 we got in this last class are very mentally strong. Jennings and Jones competition would be fun to watch behind the scenes. You talk about two guys that are going to push each other it's those two.

Living in his mom's basement. As much as the media slobbered over that guy, you would think he would've gotten his shot if he hadn't been brain dead stupid. At worst he would be backing Dobbs up this next year.

It's funny because if Ferguson was still here, likely we don't even take Sheriron Jones and he maybe the best QB of the three.

Without having any facts to back it up, he was my choice also. I remember the hubbub and consternation when Butch started pursuing other QBs in that class...Butch did his job and we benefitted...lots of improvement needed on this team...recruiting strategy ain't one of those. Nice problem to have...figuring out WHICH talented QB to hand the reins over to.

Jone's history at Cincy is he takes 2 QB's a year and he has stated he wants to do the same here. In 2011 at Cincy one got a position change and transferred eventually. In 2012 they both stayed at QB and one eventually transferred. He took 2 in the first class at TENN and one left the program, one stayed. We missed and took zero in 2014. That made taking 3 this year very reasonable ( especially with NP transferring ). It would be reasonable to take one or two in 2016 but looking at CBJ's history I would bet on two. The cream will rise to the top and the numbers will take care of themselves. They always do have a way of working out. From the Vol's standpoint it is better to have too many than not enough. If you take two a year or about seven every 4 years than you probably will never have more than 5 on the roster anyway by the time those that don't fit in leave or change position. Having the 7 will insure a nice pool to pick the starter and two very nice backups which we have to have to compete in the SEC.

Would not be surprised to see this kid drop in the rankings like TG did last year. Just not impressed with his skills to date. Jmo

Shady fella IMO...knows the Vols have a QB committed, but still allows himself to be recruited. He deserves to end up in a program where an equally shady coach will keep recruiting talent even though a teenage kid pinkie promised that he would never change his mind. You always go with the coach that bets his program that a committed player not only sticks, but also will translate to the college game...like that nice kid that just transferred to Pitt. He was the only QB in his class at that school...you know?...traditional power?...unique color scheme?

:good!:

Wasted scholarship. Imo, we'll see that shortly.

Lol he was the top QB on the board ( or one of them ) and you keep saying this... Jennings is a huge project, so he will at least be third.. Imo, he will stick around to battle with Dormady post Dobbs...

EE is nice, but how much of a factor is it two years from now?

Not near the impact if the job were up for grabs this Fall.

Guarantano is visiting UT then Ohio State after that within the next 2-3 weeks. He will decide between UT, OSU, and Rutgers. Crazy part is, Rutgers leads right now. He's been there 3 different times in the last month. However, if he wants to solidly commit to UT, we will take him without question over Kendall. The kid has serious wheels and a cannon. Very Mariota like.

Mike Farrell said it will come down to how he feels about Debord, but could easily see him picking UT. So, I guess we get to see Debord's recruiting ability soon.

Has VQ or anyone like that stated that the staff favors him over Kendall?

Imo only reason Butch would add JG at this point is if they feel AK is gone. I don't think JG would be an upgrade and Butch won't be looking to take 2 QBs until closer to NSD if he does at all.

Idk, it seems like even after Kendall committed they were after JG pretty hard. I really have no idea. I know Kendall was close to Bajakian, so you may be right. Maybe the coaches see the writing on the wall and DeBord is going after JG.

Really like JG's game.

I'm curious to see how he does as a SR.
