Think CZA gets bumped to OC before Sheridan does. It's likely Debord is helping groom CZA then he could transition into OC and Sheridan could get the QB coach. No info to prove that but I could see that playing out. Not sure how you justify to CZA in hiring a GA as the OC..Not sure that would sit well unless u didn't want CZA there, which Butch obviously loves CZA. Really not sure Debord is seen as the longterm fix at OC, but as more of a mentor to Azzani..just an uneducated guess.

Lol

I'm pretty sure no one is saying that.

I would imagine the OC interacts quite a bit with the QBs. That doesn't mean he is better at coaching a position than the respective position coach. It's kinda like the HC, he has to have a strong knowledge of every aspect of the team while the OC needs the same for the offense.

That's wbat I said, and was told that was absurd, that every OC can coach QB as well as any QB specialist. Position coaches are very valuable imo. Just because an OC can teach how to run an offense doesn't mean they are as good as a QB specialist at teaching the other aspects on QB

Play-action passes and Dobbs rolling out of the pocket should be our bread and butter early on next year, IMO.

Defenses are going to expect Dobbs to either hand it off to Hurd or run it himself, so it would be a total mind**** for them if we come out and play mostly pro-style with a deadly accurate Dobbs throwing darts downfield.

Dobbs seems very, very accurate when throwing on the run, so I hope DeBord sees that and designs more plays to take advantage of that.

Anyway, Debord may have not coached any qbs in the past but is a qb coach and qb specialist now. He will develop the qbs. He's already evaluated Dobbs and has started to improve his footwork.

Some act like its rocket science and impossible to be a "specialist" at any position. Coaching experience is coaching experience whether its QB WR TE RB or OL.

Michigan State basketball players throwing up Vols. Like all of the them, I wish I had DVR to rewind and take a picture.

Tom Brady's quotes when DeBord was hired suggest he has coached QB's and done it well.

And before anyone says Tom was just throwing a bone to an old alum, ask yourself why a guy who primarily backed up Drew Henson at Michigan and might have every reason to believe he wasn't given a fair shake there by the very man he is endorsing would put his credibility on the line for DeBord if he didn't believe in the guy.

Ok. Which one of you gentlemen stopped at PF Changs for lunch before the game? There are a lot of people here dressed in orange headed to the game. :)

After Debord wins his second NC as an OC, he will rise up new offer from The General in football heaven.

I want to see the look on the faces of some of these *******s when DeBord turns this offense into a top 15 group and makes the CFP. I'm tired of the relentless hate and vitriol being spewed his way.

What would you rather have in 2015: A 9-5 season where we back into winning the East, but lose in the SECCG and go on to lose our bowl game as well, or a 10-3 season where we lose the East to UGA but win our bowl game (Outback/Peach)?

My normal answer is it depends. Did we lose a squeaker to UGA? Who are the 5 losses? The 3? 5 losses but still winning the east means losing to all of our west opponents plus either an OOC or Florida as i can't see other losses.

So quality of wins is first consideration, then a championship because that gets us another game before the bowl game.

Edit, missed that we lose both the last two games. .. don't want to live through that of season!

Coach Butch did go out of his way yesterday to make it clear that the term "spread" isn't a precise term. Then the new OC used the term several times to describe the offense the team will be running.

Because it's Butch's version of the spread. three wide, single back but they still want to power run. Think so many people think Oregon or fun n gun or running qb when they don't really understand the offense

At this point in the game, 10 wins all day every day. If we win 9 before the bowl game, then we might have played in the SEC championship game anyways.

JMO - Butch has a plan for everyone on the coaching staff. Talking about Sheridan as OC is crazy. The guy has no experience and too much hair.

In case you're wondering why you were laughed at, the guy you quoted mentioned Sheridan to QC, not OC.

Change of subject, but somewhat interesting. Some on here know I spend a couple months a year in the Hilton Head area, so I keep track of things there. Spotted in the local Island Packet daily paper that USCe's signee Shameik Blackshear from Bluffton got himself arrested for stealing a purse and safe from a home around there. He was highly sought after D-end by everybody in the SEC including UT that Rivals rated a 4* that had not played more than a handful of games his junior and senior seasons due to an ACL and other injuries. Good size, speed, and talent with a pea sized brain apparently. Before his junior season Rivals had him as a 5*.

Questions:
1) Odds on Stevie looking the other way if he can plea down or get out of it? Would Butch? What about other SEC coaches? He's still in HS.
2) Rivals - what were they thinking? How can a kid that plays about a half of one season in two years be ranked that high no matter how talented they are? Especially after an ACL and only a half dozen games to base it on. They can claim camp performances, but it would have to be from mid 2013.

2015 season:

Wins: Bowling Green, Western Carolina, Kentucky, SC, North Texas, and Vandy.

Probable Wins: Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Mizzou.

Gotta get over the mental aspect : UF and UGA

Most likely a loss : Bama

Rivals is a joke. They rank who they want how they want.....

UGA is a better team than Bama. Fans have to get the mental block out of their minds. We're one of their worst matchups. Our guys realized it late. They were shell shocked early then started playing. No Cooper, Yeldon, and a new QB. Henry isn't the answer at RB. He needs the play to be blocked perfectly. That secondary which wasn't good now is without Collins. I'm excited to play the TIDE.....
