Wow... If he isn't guilty this girl is going to owe him millions.

And on that note, I feel like people that falsely accuse someone of something should have to face the sentence that person would have if convicted.

If he gets out of this without jail, I think he'll shy away from the courtroom for a while...unless the defense has some hidden proof that she fabricated this with malice, he'll be satisfied with the not guilty verdict IMO.

Not really practical. One could be acquitted and it may not have been a false accusation (and the reverse can be true).

Hopefully justice will be done, whatever it may be.

It's nice to get some background as to why he was out of on field coaching past two years. It def makes sense now.

It's exciting to hear they immediately are diving into the run game block scheme. It def sounds like he is coming in to fix Mahoney both in coaching and recruiting.

I will say one thing... I couldn't understand half of what Coach Jake would say because he talked 200 MPH. Debord is very easy to understand which will help in teaching the kids

It will be interesting to hear how Fulmer disguises his voice as this "Mike DeBord" character.

I wondered how Fulmer would have pulled it off if he had hired "Mike DeBord" instead of Clawson.

"Mike Debord will be calling the plays from the press box and I'll be relaying them onto the field. Unfortunately Mike has extreme photo sensitivity so we had to have the press box tinted extremely dark, so you may not be able to see him during the game. I, um, he will be available for interviews after the game when I'm somewhere else like celebrating with the team or something of that sort. I know there have been accusations that I meddle with my offensive coordinators play selection, but I can assure you that whatever Mike calls is what we will run".

I think with sex crimes it should be even worse. The difference in being an accused rapist/pedophile/sexual assaulter/etc are far worse than being a thief or even murder on many levels.

Especially in the south, being accused and found innocent of any kind of sex crime is normally enough to end a person's life effectively. Other, sometimes more severe crimes, not so much.

What?

Explain to me how being found innocent in Milwaukee is any different than being found innocent in Memphis...

The combine may not have been great for AJ anyway. He strikes me as the kind of guy who's a better player than athlete.

I'm sure he is more worried about not going to jail than the combine. If he gets cleared he will have a line of teams at his doorstep wanting to sign him as a free agent

Just watched the DeBord interview.

Strikes me as a knowledgeable guy and I'm pleased by the fact that he seems to have hit the ground running. I was impressed with his answers to a couple of the more specific offensive questions.

I'm optimistic. That viewpoint is to be taken with a pound of salt - I was optimistic about Sunseri initially as well - but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing what DeBord can do with the weapons we have on offense. Specifically, I feel confident in saying that I believe he will get a lot out of Hurd and Kamara, whereas I would not have said the same thing about Bajakian.

Well, AJ is unlikely to be convicted of a sex crime based on the police report and other evidence that has been released. Alleging rape and proving it are very different.

Just caught up on the DeBord PC and have just one thought. The new OC spent the last couple of years watching, studying and talking football without the stress of planning practices, calling games and going on the road recruiting. It is like he's been on a sabbatical and is now ready to get back in the game. Having worked in some high pressure situations, I can attest that a time of rest and study is a great way to renew your passion and prepare you for even greater levels of effort and success. So, even though I was a fan of the hire from the beginning, I'm even more positive now.

I'm convinced that this hire will be a success.

Agree, and to elaborate, I do think this is one thing that people are ignoring (intentionally in some cases): being 'away from football' never meant that DeBord spent the intervening time on Mars. He was still in touch, still watched and analyzed games, still talked with coaches and players. That was very evident from his PC.

Yup, I am really excited to see what our offense looks like next year and to see whether he draws up some plays to just get the ball into the hands of some of our best play makers in advantageous positions.

I just wanna see a slant route to North.....

Ha no freaking crap... North and Malone. malone houses a slant for TD in spring game and not sure we ever saw it again.

And no dang fade routes to 5 foot 4 Pig Howard. Throw that crap to North, Croom, Malone or Pearson. Heck Pearson made top 10 sports center for a practice play yet we never threw it in game.

I honestly think having the whole off-season knowing he is for sure #1 will push him even more. I fully expect him to be a changed qb next season. I also think the chemistry between him and the WR's will strengthen as well, which can only help.

He needs to fully channel his inner Peyton Manning. He and the wide receivers need to run routes and get their timing down on every possible variation like Manning used to do every summer he was at Tennessee.

I am not worried about his ability to move the ball with his feet. I do want to see the passing game really jump up in quality this year. Of course a different Offensive Coordinator can really make a difference there as well.
