Yeah, one of my first thoughts was about Thig's comments. He (and many on the team) seemed so sure that he would be cleared in this matter.

Easy now. Not found guilty yet

Exactly what I came into this thread to say. This country's criminal precedent is founded upon the idea that a defendant is innocent until proven guilty. Aj has yet to even tell his side of the story. Sad situation all around and I hope it works out for the best for the VFL.

Just because it's turned over to the Grand Jury doesn't mean it's going to trial.

Serious, I was on the GJ once and heard a case that I was thinking "why the hell is this even being presented".

That case was unanimously thrown out.

Edit:just read the part where it is going to trial. Reading is fundamental

AJ has told his side of the story to whatever limit he set on it with his attorney at this side. The GJ does not indict minus the accused's side of the story as well as evidence in the case.

If he is found not guilty, he will have one hell of a civil suit considering he will now go undrafted.

The thing about a civil suit, the court can require someone to pay x amount of dollars all they want. But if she doesn't have the coin there's nothing he could do about it.
