So let's go over this again. ..

Last year he didn't have money for food while Fulmer drove around in a $75k car and bought him tacos.


This year he got paid 50k while here.


Now confronted, it was sarcasm.

I agree, by all accounts he seems to have the size and talent to get it done. Id like to see him advance this year. He seemed to bleed UT orange from what i remember from his recruitment and he was one of my favorite recruits. I hope it clicks for him

lmao. Y'all don't think that Butch Stones doesn't control what gets leaked? This guy is a master at PR. Also the athletic department is relatively large. Depending on the job title, you are looking at information concerning who visited and who is not going to play in what games. The good info is kept close hold.

^This. I think he's advancing that the only way he knows how. And if that's his thinking then he's sorta right in that if he weren't making these claims we wouldn't even be listening to him about paying players but he's wrong in the fact that I don't think he understands that the way he's going about just turns people off to not only him but his cause.

On another note a really good friend of mine was an intern for the recruiting office, and just got a position with VFL films. It's so funny how she talks about Bob Welton like he's such a normal goofy boss. I have to clarify, "wait you gave Bob WELTON cupcakes for Christmas and Butch ate one?" And she's just like "yeah this is my life". Let me live vicariously through you
