You people are beyond me.

Do you not strive to better yourselves through competition?

What is the purpose for playing in the South Eastern Conference?

The goal shouldn't be winning the SEC every year?

Although the goal is to win the SEC every year, falling short of that does not equate to absolute failure.

If you are going to have a one dimensional measurement I guess you would have to be measured by how many tickets you write, or maybe how many bad guys (hopefully) you shot.

Yeah............

Care to take it to a further extreme?

How many championships?????????

:)

Do you want to talk about where they've been or where they're going? If you want to talk history then you can't just parse it in a way that favors your opinion. You have to accept CPF's whole career.

BTW, the "good ole days" are seldom as good as we remember them. UF dominated the 90's. UT won two SEC championships during the period.

UT is at a crossroads and the OC hire will probably decide which way they go... we'll see. If it is a bad hire... CPF may not be around for you guys to kick too much longer... but be careful what you ask for... you just might get it. Alot of you don't think it can get worse... it can. As opposed to teams like USC, UF, and Texas... UT won't just be resurrected when a good coach hits town... Tn doesn't produce that kind of HS talent.

If CPF is pushed out in an ugly way and the eventual successor flops... we're not talking about a 2 year or even 5 year turnaround. It could be a long, long time before UT makes it to a New Year's Day bowl again.

People in love with the idea of change for change's sake... aren't very wise.

I don't want Fulmer gone, I want Fulmer to succeed and the Volunteers to be successful.

Fulmer needs to adapt, innovate and overcome.

Florida in the 90's was Tennessee's greatest ally becuase we had something to strive for.

Spurrier left and Fulmer had the chance for all time to put a stranglehold on the SEC and make Tennessee the king of the mountain.

That is my greatest concern.........................

Tennessee should be the SEC!

I know it is all fun and games, but why is one labeled a negavol when they want the Vols to do and be better on the football field?

OE, everybody wants the Vols to do better. NegaVols, Fulmerites, Homer, and most importantly, the Vols themselves.

These guys have heart and character. They're on the right track. A lot of teams would have folded after those 3 losses. Give 'em some loving man... and then hope like heck they don't forget those losses. I'm confident they won't. Eric Berry is a great leader and Vol through and through. Those lossess looked as bad to him as they did to the most critical NegaVol. Have some faith, Vol faithful!

Who doesn't want the Vols to do better? I'm not satisfied with where they are if that's the end goal... But I am satisfied that 9-4 is an improvement over 5-6... and 10-4 with a good bowl win and a CG appearance is an improvement over 9-4 and a bowl loss.

As long as they keep getting 10 wins and playing for championships or BCS games... and then winning some... I'll be satisfied. That seems to be where they are headed. If not, CPF will be gone soon enough.

OE, had Cut or some other competent OC been at UT... they would have displaced UF as the dominant team in the SEC. RS was a costly mistake.

I want them to be competitive, specifically against their rivals.

More importantly, I want Fulmer to adapt, innovate and overcome!

He needs to let go and not hold the team back. It almost seems as if he does not trust the kids and plays not to lose.

I don't blame Sanders, Fulmer in the end has control. I don't think Fulmer trusted Sanders or let him have "creative" control of the offense.

Fulmer needs to let go.

I very proud of the way they turned the season around after those 3 losses, indeed!

Heck, I hung in there with a 0-6 bunch once. These guys can win championships.

I can agree with not giving up........ as a player I would be ashamed of 10-4 and be hungry at the shot for next year!

But do you give them credit too? CPF probably did his best coaching job ever this year. He adapted, innovated, and overcame... isn't that what you wanted?

This was probably the worst combination he's ever had of talent and experience. He got them past some crushing losses and into the CG. He got them past a demoralizing "almost" win against LSU to win against a decent Wisconsin team in spite of the coach change distractions.

What more could you have asked of him this year?

Not being in the position of losing three games in the first place..........
