Agree. Also I think even though it seems impossible I think our special teams could be even better next yr with all the athletes that we will have on campus next yr

all sorts of options at returner. Berry, Martin, AbernathyIV and several others. Abernathy IV was electric doing that at Cincy.

i also dont see any reason that Evan Berry couldnt help at RB. he takes several handoff in his HS film and hes as smooth/natural a runner as you will see.

I agree with this is we are ok at safety, but he needs to bulk up his base a little.

The film will be on Showtime in March, although that might move up with his passing. We want to call it "Dean Smith," but that sort of thing isn't up to us to a certain extent.

If anyone is interested, I'll keep you guys posted.

Definitely, although I don't subscribe to Showtime. I might have to sign up for a couple days to check it out!

Edward Aschoff: Tennessee keep building contender*
Vols coach Butch Jones is starting to own national signing day. From the spiffy bow tie to the elite talent he’s gathering in Knoxville, Jones is making Tennessee’s presence known. If you look at the shape this program was in for the last decade, Jones’ recruiting efforts were beyond impressive … again. For the second straight year, Jones reeled in the No. 5 recruiting class in the country and is continuing to build a solid foundation at Tennessee. The Vols signed 13 ESPN 300 members and 18 total four-star prospects. The Vols signed 12 players who ranked within the top 10 at their positions and had one of the biggest steals of the day by flipping four-star offensive tackle*Drew Richmond*from Ole Miss. Another great class shows how far the program has come under Jones and the potential it has.*

I worked in tv for over 10 years. Never got a chance to work on a good documentary. What did you do on that show? Crew, producing, post? Congrats it's on Showtime. Look forward to seeing it.

How badly would the 2015 Vols beat the 2013 Vols?

2013's only advantage would be on the offensive line.

I think 2015 smokes them the same way Missouri and Auburn beat that team. 45-14 or something along those lines.

I also think the 2015 team will be the best Vols squad since 2007, and 2016 will be the best since 2001.

The only thing that really has me nervous about next season is the health of Dobbs.. We could be in some serious trouble if he goes down.

With Dobbs healthy all season, the sky is the limit for this team.

Barnett...force of nature player...have no choice in what's happening to you. :aggressive:

I'm anticipating the same with K-Mac

I would love to see the O-line Bray had (fully healthy of course) against the D line we're going to have. Richardson Shut down Clowney for 99% of a game. And that O line could pass protect against most anyone. Would've been a great matchup to see IMO.

Bingo! The health of the QB and RB positions will be the tell tale sign as to how good of a season we have this year. 8-10 wins are reasonable expectations, if those 2 positions can remain healthy.

Bold statements. Makes for an interesting discussion. If Dobbs develops and the o line improves then I agree with your first statement, but I can't agree with the second. Going into 2016 we will lose some key pieces to the draft (Sutton, North) and some key seniors. We will field the best team since 2006 in 2016, but the 2004 and 2003 teams were loaded, and that 2001 team was maybe the most talented team at TN in decades.

If you remove the "in decades" and put in "in 4 years" you would possibly have a good argument. Not sure if I would agree or not, but it would be a good argument.

My opinion though.....1997 was a more talented team than 2001. I thought the 2001 team was awesome and it had one of my absolute favorite Vols on it, but 97 was a better team as a whole. JMO of course.

2015 Josh Dobbs would do bad things to the 2013 Vol defense. Like Nick Marshall kinds of things.
