Accidentally posted this in the OT thread but meant to post here.
I heard this week, from Azzanni on the radio I think, that the coaches talked to 120 '16 prospects on Signing Day. Butch personally spoke to at least 100 of them.
Crazy day.

Our coaches never fail to impress me.
If they ink another top 5 class in 2016 (and it's likely they will), they will have taken the roster from almost the worst in the SEC and likely in the 70s nationally to national championship caliber in just a little over 3 years. That's crazy.
Imagine if we 9-3 or better this year. Recruiting would skyrocket. Wouldn't be surprised if we took a run a the number 1 recruiting class. If Butch shows the wins on the field, the rest of the sec better hide yo croots, hide yo commits, cause Butch signin errbody out here
I don't think this is the right place for it, but whatever.
I spent the last few months working on a film about Dean Smith. I've been in the business for a few years, and every single time I've worked on a project like this, you always find someone who has something bad to say about a guy, on or off the record. They say one thing for the cameras, another for you when you're packing the gear up. It happens. You live long enough, you're going to do or say something stupid that pisses people off.
But every single person we talked to who had any relationship with Coach Smith---directly, or indirectly---genuinely seemed to love the guy. And look, I'm a cynic: to a certain degree, everyone is a phony, and the more famous you are, the more real this is. But Dean didn't just talk that life. He did a lot of things that weren't very popular when he did them, but he did them anyway and didn't give a damn---it was what he believed in. He was always his own man, and never changed who he was out of fear.
It's hard to examine someone for so long and then admire them more than you did to start with. But that's the case with Coach Smith.
Anyway, just my two cents. RIP.
2. Joshua Dobbs, Tennessee
Dobbs took over for starter Justin Worley late in 2014 and led the Vols to an improbable win at South Carolina (45-42 in overtime), a win against Vanderbilt and a win in the TaxSlayer Bowl against Iowa. The 2015 season will be one where hes expected to be one of the best in the league from start to finish. Dobbs has the arm, IQ and mobility to have a special season and to lead the Vols to the SEC East title. Dobbs threw for 1,206 yards and nine touchdowns (six interceptions) and rushed for 469 yards and eight touchdowns.
Montario is gonna coach at Norfolk State? Nice!
SIAP
Detroit Lions' assistant, John Bonamego, has been hired by CMU as head coach.
So, Hyams on 104.5 in Nashville this morning said there were four blueshirts this year--two public, two haven't been named yet. Who are these mystery guys? Given they didn't name the two public guys on NSD, I'm guessing the mystery men aren't among the named.
Transfers? You wouldn't normally call those blueshirts, would you?
