75-80 and we'll be out of the playoffs by september. I think we'll suck early on and get better later in the year. BJ Upton will get better or be gone quick. We're deep and good in the battery, have one of the best 2B prospects coming up. CJ will probably be on a short leash with a good 3B prospect waiting in the wings. Bullpen will be sick! Our offense will be offensive again though. But we will not be relying on the long ball (which is good because we won't have many), and using increased speed and better contact to score runs.

The Braves downfall last season was they couldn't score runs. So they give away their 3 run producers Heyward, Justin Upton and Oso Blanco. Go figure. BJ is a total bust. Freeman is the only run producer remaining. Meanwhile, the Nats are loading up. Braves will be out of the running early.

It's not gonna be a good year for the Braves unfortunately. Still pissed they got rid of J-Upton. I feel like they're just throwing this next season in the trash before we start

17 will get you 20

Just not in Bama (14 IIRC), KY, UGA, Any state that touches TN really, and 37 total states in the union and roughly 80% of the civilized countries in the world.

I blame Humbert Humbert for America's terror of 18 or younger people having large amounts of sex. They may get laid more than college freshman (depending on your school of course.)

You shut your whore mouth. Don't care how factual it is

Lady Vols fixin to go to 10-0 in SEC play. They struggled against FL in the first half but really took over the game in the second half. Nice season so far for them.

So my Reds scored runs like your Braves, zippo, but stayed in the race through the ASG due to starting pitching. So what did Jock do? Trade two starting pitchers and add 37 year old Marlon Byrd in the OF with his 180+ strike outs last season. You have the Nats loading up. We have even the Cubs getting better. Hopefully, Votto and Bruce decide to show up and earn a paycheck for a change. Good luck to Braves fans.

If they didn't owe players that's no longer with the team so much money they could probably afford to get 4 or 5 good replacement players. Really had some sorry people in the main office to get them into that shape.

Edit: I've also noticed that after they trade many of their players (to get someone not as good) those guys play great for a couple of years with their new team.

Hart was a concerning hire for me because I watched his tenure for the Rangers...rested on his laurels and worked on his golf game...set up his replacement Grady Fuson, and then changed his mind when some of Fuson's moves worked well enough for a playoff run...went back to nimrod Tom Hicks...ousted Fuson and got back on board...tanked the organization again and finally left. John Daniels built the Rangers back thanks to that parting gift Schuerholz gifted in the Texeira trade. So indirectly blame Hart for that. All being said, these moves seem to be building our sagging farm system back remarkably well...maybe we're getting the Cleveland Indians John Hart, and that would be a good thing.

I heard this week, from Azzanni I think, that the coaches talked to 120 '16 prospects on Signing Day. Butch personally spoke to at least 100 of them.

Crazy day.

The reason they couldn't score runs was because they had a lineup with a low average, low base running speed/skill, high strike outs, not hitting to contact, and a heavy reliance on the long ball. They're replacing them with people that aren't slow and can get on base. They went from an AL lineup to an NL lineup. It won't pay dividends until they get some experience for their young guys, but the orioles, giants, and the royals showed that the formula works. The problem is that we still have 0 for ever BJ and CJ. Also, Simmons needs to not swing for the fences like he did laughably last year. Fredi G also needs to put more pressure on the D by increasing steal attempts. We'll see, but I can't see how we can be terrible with our arms. If we can score 3 runs a game, we'll probably win. We just need to manufacture more runs, instead of swinging for the fences.

Does anybody live in El Paso? I have an opportunity for a promotion and more job stability than I have now but it would require a move. It is minimum 19 hours from M'boro where all our family is. Another thing is it would allow me to retire from the military in about 6 years and immediately draw my pension. Ugh. Why El Paso?!?!
