I'm a little nervous about RB depth...

Hurd, Kamara, Kelly


Three true RBs. That's it. Yes I know others could step in if needed - Abernathy, Berry, etc... But still. Going through an SEC slate plus Oklahoma, the serious threat to their health scares me.

Also one bad hit to Dobbs, and we are playing with a true freshman QB.

Y'all may not like Butch talking about how young we are. But it may be closer to a reason than an excuse than some of you want to admit.

Butch seems really relaxed in all of his interviews today. Probably the most relaxed I've ever heard him since he became head coach at Tennessee. I think he knows he's nearly done with the rebuild.

If they are bailing as fast as you sign them, you'll stay young.

And with our luck, what do you wanna bet at least one of the RBs goes down with a leg injury in either spring or fall practice?

Three Top 5 classes and we're competing for national championships-- that's what they said on the SECN today. Even Finebaum agreed. One more to go!

That is why I was a little surprised that they pushed Bussey out instead of someone else. That is also why I am not sure that we really know about Paulk yet.

Agree with this. But now he's got to win. And those recruits will start lining up at the door. It's looking great. Hope it all comes together for a loooonnng run of wins, sec champions, playoffs and another national championship or two....

Looks like we have signed the number 2 class in the SEC... Now, Butch and co. Have to coach them up and we are back.

Yeah, the Bussey thing doesn't compute. Hubbs and others said we had a plan to take up to 30, so we could have made room. I wonder if we were in on someone else and that didn't work out?

Not with classes of 31 and 28. Last year's class still has 23 members, 3 Jucos. That is 20 players in basically the same class. 20 x 4= 80. 5 less than 85. It is bound to happen.

And I thought you were the numbers guy.

Yes, it's fairly common to lose 5-8 guys per class to attrition. Not before their 1st year on campus is up. Its the rate of attrition that sticks out. At least to me.

For the record I'm not the numbers guy for the 2016 class, this year I am the "we need to sign all the instate guys" advocate. Strap in.

Agreed. Unless Butch has terrible luck, we should win a minimum of 8 games next year and get at least two signature wins out of Oklahoma, Florida, Georgia, Bama, and Arkansas. I also think we will easily beat USC and UK and the four cupcakes (Vandy included).
