I am definitely not saying Florida's offense will be pedestrian next year, I just don't think Tebow will be anywhere near as good. Across the board, this was a pretty down year for defenses in the SEC

I'm getting used to the fact that Urban Meyer is going to have some good offenses with his system. They aren't going to be unbeatable, but they are going to be really good. And also, under Meyer, every other year is usually the jackpot year.

Maybe, but this is the SEC, not the MWC or MAC

True, but if Meyer could pull out a national title last year, I think he can make a run next year. I fully expect Charlie Strong to have a much improved defense next year.

Florida drops Auburn for a Mcfaddenless Arkansas next year; they still play Mississippi, and they start out with Hawaii and Miami before Tennessee. They will definitely be a top 10 team, but Oklahoma will probably be #1.

You guys forgot to add Notre Dame to your top 5! :crazy:

haha didn't lou holtz say they would win 10 this year? hes a joke.
but florida really has no place in the top 5. their D was hilariously bad today. if i was a florida fan (god forbid) i wouldn't be as confident as some people here are for them.

Georgia is top 5. Florida is top 10. I think Tennessee ends up 11 or 12. Higher if the starting QB just awes everyone in the media.

No way Tebow wins again next year. I do worry that we'll be around 15-16th because of a new qb. That will make it harder to climb the BCS if we do start out with wins over UCLA, FLA, etc.

if we win we won't have a problem climbing the BCS ladder. USF was #2 this year...

I guarantee you USC will be top 5 in the preseason polls next year. by the way, they will crush Illinois in the Rose Bowl this year, probably hammer down a top recruiting class, and they will still be USC
They are crushing Illinois-#13 in the country and complete underdog by 18 points

Their recruiting class is average compared to what they did last year,half of their recruiting class are Offensive Linemen.

They're Top 10 but definetly not Top 5

and after that loss to Michigan.

Update:
1.Oklahoma
2.Ohio State
3.Georgia
4.Texas
5.Florida

First Reegan says that Kansas is one of the 10 most talented teams in the country.

Then Reegan predicts that BYU will play in the national championship game next year.

Maybe Reegan's just being sarcastic, and we're not picking up on it. Or, maybe Reegan is insane.
When Kansas "Shocks" Virginia Tech you can retract your statement

BYU will compete for a NC for these reasons:
1.They'll start the season higher than Boise State & Hawaii did
2.They'll start higher because A-They return all starters on offense and defense B-BYU is more prestigious nationally than Boise State & Hawaii,Boise State was ranked so low to compete because they lost their starting QB,and countless other key contributors on offense and defense from last season.MWC>WAC among team talent/prestige anyways.
3.BYU's schedule(not in order):
@ Washington
UCLA
Nevada
@USU
SDSU
WYO
UNM
UNLV
@TCU
@CSU
@AirForce
@Utah

They lost to a healthy UCLA at the start of the season,then beat a healthy UCLA at the end of the season.
Washington should be easy since they arent particularly good.

BYU beat every single team in their conference last season,and their only real tests will be @ Utah and @ TCU

As I've said before,not many people are sipping the holy water of BYU but I am.
BYU is most likely going to be ranked at #14 or #15 in the preseason rankings next year.

IMHO preseason polls should be banned, and polls not even begin untill at least the third week. Never happen of course, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The whole poll system is stupid because teams are ranked off of reputation more than if they are actually good.

It should be done in a NFL style format,Top 2 teams from each conference compete in a playoff system to determine the National Champion

The rest of the winning teams in each conference then will then be decided upon for bowl games

USC wont be in the top 5 for 3 reasons

1:First year starter:Mustain,Sanchez,or Corp
2:Lose leading rusher,and leading receiver
3:Lose Sedrick Ellis,Lawrence Jackson,and Keith Rivers

They were ranked #1 last season mainly because they had such a dominate recruiting class they pulled in.

Recruiting classes play a role where teams are ranked too,if Tenn pulled in the #1 recruiting class we'd be around #5 preason for 2008.

Thats why teams like Alabama,Florida State,and Miami will start the season most likely at #21,#23,#24 respesctively off of their recruiting talent and return of more than 80% of their starters.

I know this is a bold statement but BYU will be in the BCS National Championship next year,if they beat Utah.

Are you writing in all italics? Why are you doing that?
