'15 TN OT Drew Richmond (Former Ole Miss commit)

Recruits leave every game early. At last year's A&M game recruits and their families had about 50 to 100 seats on the lower level and they were all empty in the 2nd half.

Butch went all in for Richmond very early. Staying focused on Drew cost UT other OT options IMO. At some point it appears Butch saw he was fighting a losing battle and turned the focus to other recruits. The only reason Richardson now has a chance to sign with UT is because HE reached out to Butch after the dead period. Lucky for him, Butch was open to listening.

I think recruits leaving at halftime is the norm. There is a ton of stuff to cram in today.. Having said that if we were playing Kentucky and were as good as we were from '06 to '10 - they would probably stay throughout.

We have some worry warts on here. Richmond = Vol

This same mistake happens in so many threads by people just waiting to try and point it out. I was in the student section when Butch came down. He had some people come over and tell him he had to leave, he turned and said, "There's 3 minutes left in the half, then we can go" and the guy shook his head and whispered something to Butch and Butch said, "Well, if that's the case I better go."

Not really sure what it meant (and not rumoring, I was standing 2 feet from the man.) But I do know Richmond, Williams, Martin, and Bussey couldn't have gotten a better reception from fans anywhere else.

Espn showed Butch with Richmond on TV, which might be a violation. It is possible they were trying to get him away from cameras lol

Also I really really doubt Richmond left early. Don't want to be a sunshine pumper, but it appears he was having a nice time and wouldn't leave early.
