Southern Miss basketball under NCAA investigation (Tyndall)

There are coaches who can sell your program even when you're not one of the "bluebloods" (UK, KU, Duke, etc.).
There are coaches who can do it all when it comes to Xs and Os.
The problem is, WE NEED ALL THREE. And that is a rare bird indeed. We would be insane to fire CDT unless he absolutely is proved beyond a shadow of a doubt to be a walking nightmare when it comes to compliance.

Who would we get to replace him who fits the bill in all three areas?

Bc it's college basketball and u can fix it extremely quick...we already have a four star committed in 2016....I think he holds and we get Blackwell.....I don't think with CDT's coaching that the bottom will fall out of the program.....

We had Clarke committed too, if this lingers there's no guarantee that White sticks with us, or that we land Bkackwell. If the 2016 class is sitting just like this one after next November what will your thoughts be?

What's kentuckys coach got to do with anything?

Nothin. The Golden Bears Bro.

Well for starters this class isn't over so we can't give a definite opinion on it till it's done but it is very underwhelming at this point.....if class shows up on campus and looks awful and 2016 we are struggling as well then it may be time to make a move....if he can't get the job done then I don't want him to be our coach....it's true we can just hire another coach but it's really hard to find the real deal and my gut at this time tells me that CDT is the real deal.

By the way, something else Goodman said the other day on Basilio that I forgot to mention. Beano just brought it to my attention.

The NCAA does not apply the "repeat offender" status to coaches. That applies to institutions only.

After the Mike Hamilton manufactured disasters, I'm more than satisfied with Jones and Serrano. Even with Tyndall as far as coaching is concerned, but why the hell is it impossible for the U.T. B.B. program to hire a head coach who isn't a stiff or a crook?

Yeah I'm with you on Jones and Serrano. I'm proud to say I was one of the first to shake his hand and wish Serrano good luck when he was hired. I was at the airport Hilton for a meeting and saw him getting off the elevator. Nice dude and just what we needed.

The expectations are too high and the history doesn't guarantee success. Big names are as likely to blow up as to blow it out.

He got stokes Hubbs and JRich........the rest were very low level players or a combo of mediocre and didn't fix his system. There is a reason some of the media that some coaches wouldn't even talk to tennessee bc the roster was left in very poor shape.

I don't believe that there are that many coaches that are at the level of coaching desired by UT that are clean.

Clean Coaches finish last with the exception of Duke's Coach K. If the coach is clean then the school probably isn't. Good clean coaches don't win, evidently. Plus, if the NCAA wants to nail anyone or disrupt anyone then it incompetently investigates.
