Ah, so I did miss something. Also I see the kid mentioned today isn't a commitment, just CBs coming in.

Yeah. But to push the spirit of the joke a bit...the commits that Florida is bringing in have some pretty crappy offer lists. It's one thing to get excited about a 2/3 star here or there who has a handful of P5 offers, but for the recruits I've been seeing from Florida the norm is a handful of crappy offers and one or two random P5's. Not exactly a confidence inspiring list!

If being honest, UT had several of the same type Butch's first class. There is only so much flexing a fan can do with the Woody Quinn domination. LOL

UF will have some questionable spot fillers. I also think they get a few bigger gets closer to NSD, much like Butch.did.

What did Butch say on Finebaum just now? All I saw was a headline that says he's got this or something like that.. I am agreeing with Eric the longer this goes the more shakeup there might be. Go get em Butch!!

Drafting Guys Over 60
This is funny & obviously written by a Former Soldier...

New Direction for any war: Send Service Vets over 60!

I am over 60 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be older than 42 to join the military. They've got the whole thing ass-backwards. Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys. You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're at least 35.

For starters, researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a day, leaving us more than 28,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy.

Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky soldier is a dangerous soldier. 'My back hurts! I can't sleep, I'm tired and hungry.' We are impatient and maybe letting us kill some ******* that desperately deserves it will make us feel better and shut us up for awhile.

An 18-year-old doesn't even like to get up before 10am. Old guys always get up early to pee, so what the hell. Besides, like I said, I'm tired and can't sleep and since I'm already up, I may as well be up killing some fanatical son-of-a-*****.

If captured we couldn't spill the beans because we'd forget where we put them. In fact, name, rank, and serial number would be a real brainteaser.

Boot camp would be easier for old guys.. We're used to getting screamed and yelled at and we're used to soft food. We've also developed an appreciation for guns. We've been using them for years as an excuse to get out of the house, away from the screaming and yelling.

They could lighten up on the obstacle course however. I've been in combat and never saw a single 20-foot wall with rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any pushups after completing basic training.

Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy, too. I've never seen anyone outrun a bullet.

An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's still learning to shave, to start a conversation with a pretty girl. He still hasn't figured out that a baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes, not the back of his head.

These are all great reasons to keep our kids at home to learn a little more about life before sending them off into harm's way.

Let us old guys track down those dirty rotten coward terrorists. The last thing an enemy would want to see is a couple million pissed off old farts with attitudes and automatic weapons, who know that their best years are already behind them.

HEY!! How about recruiting Women over 50...in menopause!!! You think MEN have attitudes??
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh my God!!! If nothing else, put them on border patrol. They'll have it secured the first night!

Hilarious! Wish I could give it 100 likes!

Well, here are the main offers for all of Butch's recruits:

Weisman: Ohio St. Miami, Cinci., and West Virginia.

Vickers: South Carolina, UNC and (generously) East Carolina.

Quinn had nothing. But, Auburn and Cinci show up as having had "interest" with no offers.

North: No comment

Jaylen Miller: Florida, LSU, GTech, Nebraska, Maryland, and Duke.

Jabo Lee: VTech, Minnesota, and Eastern Carolina

R. Jones: Ole Miss, Miss State, Kansas State, West Virginia, and Texas Tech.

Lemond Johnson: Auburn, LSU, Duke, Kentucky, Minnesota, Vandy, Indiana, and Illinois.

Ryan Jenkins: Clemson, Miss. State, Louisville, Missouri, OK State, Washington, and UCLA.

Malik Foreman: Vandy and Kentucky

Dobbs: Arkansas, Arizona St., Duke, Miss. State, TCU, Maryland, and Boston College

Malik Brown: Miss. State, West Virginia, Cinci., Minnesota, and NC State

Branisel: Louisville, Cinci, Nebraska, Missouri, and Indiana.

It isn't a dominant list...but all of them save for Quinn have at least two solid P5 offers, and most have a handful.

UF's class is a major step in the right direction for our Vols. Not putting up a billboard that we'll whip their ass but the gap is closing.

"So has anyone heard if Butch Jones is dropping anymore of his recruits anytime soon?"

Butch's 2013 class wasn't bad at all, IMO. Dobbs, North, Josh Smith, Sutton, and JRM are 5 starters out of that group.

Sanders, Vereen, Wiesman, and Jenkins (if he stays) are all guys who have/will see the field as well.

A lot of those are Dooley commits. He gets some credit for not losing them, but not quite the same as actually getting them to commit.

I'm putting up a billboard that says we'll whip their ass.

Everyone is free to look at my billboard.

Kendrick as well. Foreman has a shot at playing tiem this season and Swafford has been a nice contributor on the kicking teams.

That class wasn't bad by any means. Three of our best/most important players were in that class (Dobbs/JRM/Sutton).

I will say, I was expecting more from Vereen last year. Not saying he's bad by any means, but with his work ethic and Stripling coaching, I thought he'd have a breakout year.

think the spin control isn't in play?

Maybe, maybe not. I think people are going to read into that whatever they're predisposed to read into it. The Anti-DeBords are going to see it as Butch saying, "I know you don't like him but trust me, I know he's gonna be good." Others will hear, "I can't announce right now without crapping on someone else's NSD but trust me, I've got everything lined up." Still others will hear, "We're still working on it but trust me, I'll get the right guy."

Reality is, there's been no real evidence to reasonably discern which it is.

He said that fans want him to hire a resume. He wants someone he knows/comfort with staff... I listened to it, and if it's not Debord, I will be shocked..
