Well, the Bible does say we need to pray for one another.

P.S.: Just messing. Trying to have some clean fun. And yes, I am a follower of Christ and have a growing relationship with Him.

It's all good.its been a while since I've been on here without arguing. I think everyone is stunned with the whole Debord thing it may bring us all together. Who knew?

for those that do not venture past the wall

fans don't have to love the hire and Jones better not care what fans think about the hire. What Butch has to do in regards to the hire is be right.

If they win 5 games, it will be the hires fault and fans will really be hot but that doesn't matter who the hire is. DeBord or anyone else. Win 5 and things are hot.

Win 9 and everyone loves everyone.

Yeah, I am choosing not to get all bent out of shape with this OC hiring process. Too much stress that is unneeded. Yeah I have my favorites and all, but if they don't get hired then it isn't the end of the world. Our O will be good next year.

Personally, I'm of the mindset that Dobbs, Hurd, Kamara, North, Croom, Malone, Pearson, Pig, Smith, and Wolf will make whoever calls plays next year look pretty good no matter what they call. Not to mention we might only need to score 14 to win next year.

Eggsactly. This is why I will choose to trust Butch with this hire. He has put waaaay too much stock and time into this program to ruin an OC hire.

No, no. Butch is okay with letting 8,000 hours of work in the past 2 years go down the drain because he wants to help out an old friend.

Bajakian sure blows that assumption out of the water.

All we can do is judge on results next year. There's no way Butch would go in to this thing half cocked. When he first got here his staff was people he felt comfortable with. We'll see.

I had a very interesting conversation today with my brother in law who is a Michigan fan and alum. He lives in Arizona now and we only talk a handful of times a year but had to call him today in regards to a family matter. We started talking our usual small talk about football. I asked him what he knew about Mike DeBord, I told him Tennessee was looking at him in regards to OC. I made the statement that I didn’t see how the style of play was a good fit for CBJ. He went on to say it would actually be a good fit, I asked how do you figure? He went on to tell me Lloyd Carr dictated what type of offensive scheme to run, and DeBord was simply following along.

Here is where our conversation got interesting, he said in the month leading up to the Capital One Bowl against Florida, DeBord approached Lloyd Carr explaining their current offense wasn’t a good matchup against Florida and recommended they open it up as he knew how to attack Florida in space. Reluctantly Carr agreed, they spent a month of practice working on the spread getting ready for the game. My brother in law keeps up with and watches Tennessee football also because my sister is a Tennessee alum. He said, when you have time go watch the Capital One Bowl, it’s the same offense Butch runs.

That day Michigan won, and put 41 points up against Florida and had their D tripping over themselves. Now I’m not saying this is proof he is the “man” but after watching this I can certainly see why Butch is talking to him. After that game Lloyd Carr retired, Rich Rod was hired and DeBord took a position as O Line coach with Seattle.

Right now, I don't expect either to go through spring practice. Paulk has been seen working out, but not with the team, just on his own.

Hubbs on Hendrix and Paulk being back.

Pretty sure Rich Rod was on the sideline on that Youtube link

Look you're stupid and poor and without football, you couldn't get in to a place like Michigan. :thud:

In hindsight, this going public is probably the best thing that could happen because now that recruiter can be dealt with. Honestly, this story makes you wonder if pitches like these aren't why Michigan has sunk to ~100th despite the Harbuagh hire.

Sounds like they are trying to use the ol Marine Corps recruiting commercial and getting it terribly wrong.

Instead of "Do you have what it takes to be one of the few, the proud, the Marines" they came up with "If it wasn't for your football talents, we wouldn't accept you here".

They were so close.

Debord invented our offense, wow. He would be an amazing fit for our O like I said. That highlight is our offense.
