At least Preston didn't try to hide it. He could have secretly recruited for us while wearing Auburn gear.

Apparently, don't know if true but Preston was caught taking glaucoma medicine. But hey that could be the enemies version.

Doesn't sound like they have an axe to grind at all.

Butt Hurt Auburn.

Same Auburn that suspended QB for a half for same thing.

Bummer.. If the players met the other possible coaches, you'd probably get the same reaction. Not excited about DeBord. More excited about the other possibilities that have experience in the spread offense and QB coaching. Wait and see how all this plays out, and will gladly eat crow if DeBord does extremely well. But he has to do extremely well. Lots of pressure on DeBord who hasn't called games in a very long time, in the SEC and a fan base that's been waiting forever for consistent wins and championships. Tough one for Butch to hire a new OC to run his offense for the first time in his head coaching career.... Hoping for the best

He has never done what most would consider extremely well, even when they won the national title they were 50 something in offense and 44th in scoring I think. They won that year with defense, first in total D and first in scoring D. They were 59th in total offense his last year at Michigan despite having Jake Long, Henne, Hart, Manningham.... I doubt he has gotten that much better in an eight year layoff from calling plays.

Considering Hubbs said if Butch needs money he'll get it, I just fail to see how he'd settle like this. It would be a rather extreme case of seeing something that no one else is seeing.

Alabama hiring an NFL DC to be their secondary coach while Tennessee hires an Olympic sports administrator to be their OC is what I'm failing to see here. No offense taken.

I get that but add Butch to the list and that's 4 really good evaluators. I will concede to the professionals on this one.

Exactly! This is why I don't understand if he gets the job. He's done nothing that makes say I really want this guy leading our offense in the SEC. Trusting Butch has a better plan..
