We made too much of a deal of it, and I think it might of got in their heads. (the checkered stadium, and the other time, I think ESPN/Corso was there)
I don't care if Butch announces Catbone as OC.
Butch Jones is the mother effing man and will bring us to glory.
PS Catbone we need to kick more field goals
The Falcons talk for DeBord is only coming from VQ. Apparently no reporters who cover the Falcons have even mentioned DeBord's name for any openings.
I think Butch interviewing these other coaches, along with tying DeBord's name to an NFL job, is just a way to soften the blow when DeBord is announced later this week.
Good post and I agree completely.look, debord will be fine. hes an o-line guy, has a ton of experience, apparantly comes highly recommended by manning, gruden, meyer, etc and maybe, just maybe will help improve the run game and implement some pro formation philosophies. He will be fine, all he has to do is call plays that he thinks will work. Maybe he will be more aggressive(which i would like), maybe he will be better at picking things up during the game and using it to tenn advantage. Possibly better half time adjustments who knows. IMO, he would be night and day better then coach jake. FYI, IMO, If this guy is hired the first time by fulmer theres never a kiffen or dooley era. Give the guy a chance if hes the man, i think itll work out fine. Hes a very experienced old fart on offense and i think that is what this teams needs IMO.

I'm so confident in Butch I hope it is Debord just to see the meltdown.
Look this isn't Dooley where the coordinator hires make or breaks this team.
My biggest question is just how much of a role does/will Butch play in the offense?
If he was already sitting in on meetings and scheming right there alongside Jake, then this hire is a non-factor, IMO.
