Of course things like this happen in every war, but Russia has made it a matter of state actions (the fact that the leader of the DPR appeared in the videos didn't help matters).

Russia: the largest country on Earth, yet apparently still too small, according to Russians.

I know you're being sarcastic, but to think that Russia would allow its posterboy in the DPR to do this without its approval is about like me thinking Butch Jones was hired here at UT without Dave Hart and Jimmy Cheek's approval.

It's the little devil inside of me, but I kept hoping throughout that one of the Ukrainian soldiers would suddenly jump up and run a knife right through the throat of either tough boy at the beginning or one of the cow women constantly berating and beating them in the latter half of the video.

God forbid Ukraine have a nation.

I don't know what the president's mindset is, but clearly the country isn't 100% committed to dealing with the threat. Poorly-supplied troops, incompetent military leadership, bad intelligence/counterintelligence, strange pronouncements from the bully pulpit.

The civilian population is a factor, but the real hand tied behind their back is the fact that the country is on the verge of default. That's the only legitimate excuse.

neither side has really tried to work this out. both sides entered negotiations with strict lines in the sand and neither budged, so if Ukraine is to blame there so are the rebels. (that's war to me, negotiations break down you go back to fighting)

and you know the fighting started before civies were getting blown up in the Donbas? kinda throws a wrench in the idea that Putin is only there to save lives.

Please provide evidence of oppression by Ukrainian authorities towards ethnic Russians since 1991 to 2013 that should warrant invasion. Next you can not negotiate with someone who wants you dead.

It's not that I necessarily always even disagree with you. We've had discussions about this before: I don't necessarily disagree with Russia for invading Ukraine. It's just this constant conspiracy mess from you and Rasputin is tiring.

Surely you can find a decent article somewhere, that isn't written by a neo-Nazi academic over at Global Research, to substantiate your claims.
