Eazy what are your thoughts on what Ron posted about hearing that Debord might be more if a quality control person and not the OC? Are you hearing anything similar to that? It would certainly make more sense.....

Very true but this different. this is Tennessee. Where questionable hires is what we do.

I would be much, much happier with that. He could definitely help with the OL I think.

Random poster in FF said DeBord to be announced Monday and CZA is gone, CM job or not. Also that Charlie Baggett (sp.) Is being discussed to return. Reliable? I have no idea.

Look, I know that whoever CBJ brings in will run Butch's offense so that's not my issue. I would like to see a more creative mind that could add a few wrinkles to the offense and I just don't believe Debord is that guy.

My biggest gripe with Bajakian was easily his playcalling. Sometimes, it would be very good and he could get the defense reeling. Too often though, we would have very bizarre series where plays seemed to be called with no rhyme or reason. My other gripe with him was lack of aggressiveness at attacking down field but you can't completely blame Jake for that due to the OL.

Everything I've read from Michigan and CMU people about Debord is that his offense is very stale, boring and predictable. Then you consider that 95% of his resume was working with pro style offenses and I'm just left scratching my head.

If he pans out and proves me wrong, I'll eat all the crow you guys throw at me and come back for seconds. :hi:

Hate to tell you but Butch is finally living up to his promise when he met his first team. We will be running the ball every play.

Nope. First heard he was very close to being hired Friday afternoon then backed off of that Saturday morning. Then yesterday when I told you guys about Debord it was "100% sure he's gonna be the guy".

Hes never been wrong on player info/transfers etc. but coaching searches are a different animal. Hope it's wrong.

Glossing through his posts, he doesn't seem to know much. He's got McDowell starting at safety in his 2015 lineup projections LOL.

Man you're preaching to the choir. I've been here almost 9 years. Asking questions is the point. But saying things about blowing a gasket is so stupid.

What I said about blowing a gasket was if Azzani leaves. Yes, I would be very upset about that. We do not need to lose Azzani right now.

If Butch hores Debord as OC I will also question that selection. That's what weezer isn't giving me credit for. I don't like that Debord is an option honestly. But I also know that even obsessed people like us don't truly know jack about what it takes to be a coordinator.

I don't know. Just kinda tired of the extremism on the recruiting forum.

I agree. I would be disappointed if Azzanni left. It also wouldn't be the end of the world. Would hurt Preston Williams's recruitment and maybe a couple others but we'd survive.
