Question. How in the crap did we lose to Bama this year?

Not very good in relation to what? We won 9 games and the East... and like I've already said.... we were within a pick-6 of beating the team that is playing for the NC? How on God's Green Earth is that not good? Im sure there are any number of things you can point out to say that we could've done better but to simply state that we arent any good is silly. I gotta run but I'll recheck later. Have fun picking me apart.

If....pick six away...three field goals away. We can argue until we are blue in the face. A good team would have beaten LSU in their depleted state. The list of teams that put points on the board against them is long. We did not have (or if we did have them we did not employ their talent) the offensive speed to score on LSU. Other teams did....

we won one and lost one, with each team winning at home.

do you actually have a point or did you just need another opportunity to be an arsehole?

why dont you just admit that UT, in football, is Bama's bitc*. sorry, but thats the way it is right now.:dunno:

You're ignorant. As someone pointed out, Alabama leads the all time series by 7 games. Fulmer is something like 11-4 against Alabama. This decade, Tennessee leads the series 5-3.

So, no, that's not "the way it is right now."

this season, there is no question that we were. However, there is no way that you can make that argument for the past 15 years. In fact, much of the media play prior to the game was about how little success Alabama has had against Fulmer.

Deer in the Headlight Look.

most of you seem to forget in a 25 year period they beat us 22 or 21 times. 30 year period it was 26 times.

and you can mark down 2008 as another loss to them at Neyland. CYA.
when was the last time they won in Neyland?

I'm starting to understand. Your hearkening back to the good ole' times, when men were men, Bear was the King, the Cunningham's were the local hardware store owners and your Packard was still hip. This conversation would be more worthwhile if you'd join the 21st century, or at least the latter half of the 20th.

You lost to us this year because you were outcoached. Just like you will be next year.
and you lost to ULM because you were outcoached. Your $4 million man beat our $2 million man, as to be expected. Their $500K man beat your $4 million man and it ain't supposed to work that way.

No... last post and I swear Im leaving... man I got stuff I got to do today...cut it out guys!!!!

A team that was not very good would have showed up and laid an egg in the SECCG. We could argue this till kingdom come but to say that we are not good is silly and this is my orignaly post as far as this line of conversation goes:

Correction... we weren't very good. I think we are a totally different team now than when we played Bammer. Much better defensively for sure.

The last 2 statements are fact and I just dont see how you cant see us as a bad team after those 2 are proven.

Onside kick.

When that happened I thought it was a real sign of Bammer's inferiority. I reasoned why else would anyone start the game with an onside kick?

Thanks for bringing back the memories of Bammer and this thread wasn't even started by LG.

Another good trick from the Bammer's... wasn't it. That's a great way to slow down the no huddle. They went as far as getting it to start again when they had the ball. But we shouldn't expect honesty of any sort from a Saban coached team.

Alabama wasn't in freefall mode when we played them.

And I'd think they'd beat us again if we played today.

VOLS win going away 12/30, 12/31, or 1/1. I was hoping, knowing it was highly unlikekly , it would be bama and us in the SEC championship. Not to be, but I cant see VOLS playing that poorly again. Geez, fellas don't make me look stupid tomorrow with this post to haunt me all of 08!!:clapping:
