VQ says he isn't the best practice player. I take that as he doesn't put in the consistent effort everyday the staff wants.
Hopefully he sees the opportunity this offseason, grows up and gets it together.
If he and Blair could take over the T's and allow us to rotate Jackson, Kerbyson and Robertson at G we'd be set.
Not directed at you - what VQ suggests as the excuse, true or not, gets me riled up. That's the reason they didn't start Dobbs, right? That's the excuse they used - in camp he was the least accurate, not ready, blah, blu, blah. That's usually a convenient coach speak excuse for liking one guy more than another due to their own rationalization.
Kendrick is recognized as one of the strongest linemen on the team. That takes discipline to get done. He just didn't fit whatever image of the type OT the coaches wanted IMO. Yet, he was very effective in each game he got to play. As was Dobbs. No winning season without Dobbs. Mediocre to bad O-line play at T for more than half dozen games because Kendrick wasn't used.
Wish they would just say they effed it up and won't make that mistake again.
