Well of course, any business should be very informed on potiental regulations headed their way. The answer however is not to just let them buy politicans and then they no longer have to worry about negative regulations. Which at this point, is pretty much what we have. This essentially creates a government that has MORE control over every aspect of our life. So for everyone that wants a samller government you will not be getting it while lobbying is still practiced the way it currently is. Why wouldn't you pick winners and losers if someone was waiting to hand you thousands of dollars. Once again it isn't a liberal or conservative issue but a rampant tainting of our political process that both sides practice. While calling liberals idiots and blaming them for everything certainly is fun in the tiny conseravtive bubbles that you live in, it doesnt address anything of substance. Anyone we elect will accept bribes to pick winners and losers so that argument has been proven wrong over and over again.

While I despise the lobbying profession, there is a definite need for them. Politicians cannot possibly understand every issue hey face and vote on. The key is to limit there exposure to politicians by limiting how long one can serve.

Why do you have to tie money to information? So my knowledge on a subject isn't as valid because I didn't give you 100,000 for your next campaign? Yeah okay, the systen has been altered to benefit these people. Say or think whatever you want.

It doesn't change the fact that currently as it stands, it is nothing other than bribing our representatives. Your suggestion to limit how long they can serve would just push thousands more right into the "profession" of lobbying.

McDonalds is able to pay their employees a lower salary because the government provides welfare to the employees.

If not, McDonald's would either be forced to pay a higher wage or lose their work force

Possibly. The question is how much longer we as a nation can have a larger and larger class of poor before it all crumbles.

You expect a politician to have intimate knowledge of how fiber optics, oil exploration, finance ext works? Hell that's impossible.

I admit its a dirty business but necessary.

That's a week sauce argument. McDonalds can pay a low wage since the majority of their employees haven't completed their education.

I'm pretty sure I'd remember my daughter getting a welfare check when she worked there in HS.

We have a minute amount of poor people in this country and the majority of them are poor due to their own bad choices.

Comprehend much? The issue at hand is not a drug charge, it's using cash obtained via EBT to purchase items such as drugs, tats, table dances, etc.

Those people should be transient (pardon the irony). They should work at McDs until they get some education that will allow them to get a better job. If not... well, somebody has to be on the bottom. I just wish they wouldn't procreate to further burden society.
