Obama admin has done a good job managing the economic crisis of Bush

Except what many of you consider corporate welfare is in reality tax deductions or credits. Much like you deduct mortgage interest.

I am astounded that so many on here think that it's "the governments money". I don't care what political ideology you follow, if you just start from the basic premise that "MY money belongs to ME" we will all be better off.

The only problem is that you equate devalue with amount. That's where your math fails.

Huh? Devalue with amount? Yes in today's dollars, the amount of your debt has been devalued.

Just like if you could borrow money at 2% interest and you knew inflation would run at 3%, you would be insane not to take on that debt.

Which is why inflation is good for the economy. It encourages people to take out loans for businesses and homes.

Backtrack much?

Spoken like a lib. Tax cuts only help. Letting people keep their money is always good. Increased spending caused the deficit.

People keeping their own money, especially if they fit into what the .gov defines as "rich" is an anathema to what centralized government stands for. Keeping.... your... own... money.... The Democraps can't have that.

Why is it a good thing to encourage people to go into debt?

Like yourself or the ones who vote for the other color of the same team?

Your party brought the really big spending items that we'll never get rid of until bankruptcy.

I'm waiting for them to come after my 401k.

Because if we did the opposite and had deflation, it would encourage the wealthy to keep their money in their pocket, as oppossed to starting businesses and building houses which create jobs.

I'm not a Democrat SpaceCoastVol. Please refrain from trying to label me as such.

Why pick a side if they are the same.

In a way yes. Except inflation vs. Interest is a much better way of creating jobs than tax cuts.

I don't think any of us should take monetary policy advise from someone who spoke about avoiding a raise because it would kick him into a higher tax bracket.

Why do they have ti increase spending?

Just... stop.

They do not have to but neither side is willing to stop spending.

Look at the "special projects" that were place in the spending bill recently passed. Those extra little extras were added by members of both parties. There is no end in sight. I do not trust anyone in DC to do the right thing.
