The staff needs to smooth it over, if it's true. As more and more people move to the mid-state from elsewhere, the more and more the UT brand is diluted. We have the opportunity to have one of the most influential people, amongst voices of many, in our corner. No need to not take advantage of that and work hand in hand with Buck.

Van Jefferson, Phillips, Amadi, Ordway's and Ke'shawn Vaughn are all under Buck's tutelage. Maybe he's pissed that CBJ passed on Ordway and Vaughn.

If that's the case then Buck's wrong. You can't dictate which kids Butch offers. Butch is responsible for choosing kids he feels best fits his template from a size, talent and personality perspective.

It's not Buck's job to steer kids to UT. If it were, he'd be no better than a handler or a bagman. With that said, I hope he isn't steering them away from UT.

I'd like to hope he is neutral in the decision making of the kids.

Hold on...didn't de1 say just a couple weeks ago that he and Buck were having breakfast with Butch and Thig??? He didn't have a bad tone, like it was a bad meeting. Seemed very casual and good spirits.

If all of this is true, I don't see how coaches maintain their sanity. They run the risk of pissing of the wrong "mentor" and losing a bunch of great players. I have no knowledge of this situation, but it sure would suck if Buck were pushing these kids to LSU because he was mad we didn't jump on Amadi the first time around.

Yep, that was the first thing that came to my mind when the VQ poster mentioned the recent meeting.

De1 didn't soud like it was a bad meeting though. However, I have noticed that de1 hasn't been on here hardly at all lately. Maybe it does have some legs and he's staying quiet about it all.

Again if we loose out on ugo its not bucks or ugo fault its butchs fault. Having said that it doesnt appear that butch has made many mistakes in recruiting so he hopefully he doesnt make that many more, particularly in the mid state. JoeJuan Willams is big on LSU too so he has his work cut out for him.

Ordway's academics were such to where he would have trouble getting admitted to UT. Not an issue at Ole Miss, can't pin that on UT staff.

If this is true that we have to satisfy the third party (former UT player or not) instead of the player and his family, that's just flat wrong. It sounds like AAU coaches/handlers in the world of HS BBall

Middle tenn IS tenn recruiting and becoming more so every year. This shouldn't be taken lightly and needs to be rectified if true.

Buck see's them weekly. there is not contention amongst them at all. What a joke that so many people talk about stuff they have no clue about. just make stuff up

Also, if you remember, some moran ran over to VQ and posted that someone was over here spilling the beans.
