If you look at obamas budgets compared to Bushs final budget, you will see that spending has been below that level in 3 of 5 years. You will also see that discretionary spending is down.

IIRC the W budgets did not include the cost of the wars. They were financed through supplemental funding.

Bush tax cuts expired and then he raised the taxes for top earners to 39.5 % ans dividend from 15 to 20%.. Yes he raised taxes and more Americans are effected by the AMT
