The interest rates were not 15% when Reagan was sworn in. The highest rates in history was year 1 and 2 of Reagan's Administration. His policies did bring rates down but it was year 3 before they were as low as they were when he took office. The rates went back up in year 4 then they started dropping.

If you base the job the president is doing on interest rates Obama would be considered the best president in modern history.

Interest rates rising usually indicate a strong economy. So since interest rates have dropped so much under 0, would that make him the worst?

Wait, wait? If everything bad during O's first 6 years were Bush's fault, why isn't the historically high mortgage rates During Regan's first year Carters fault?

Carters policies were too blame for the cesspool Reagan inherited, IMO I voted for Carter in 1976, that was a bad vote I made.

Skin is the person equating how good a job the president is doing based on interest rate, not me.

Reagan wasn't perfect by any means but he was exactly what the country needed at the time. He restored the pride in being an American after years of shame.
