Alright. Starting to get a little weird now. Apparently Butch runs around fuming mad and cussing everyone out all the time OR we have some pu**** on the team.

Butch has been coaching a long time. Seems like we would have been hearing about Evil Butch before now.

These freshmen were wined and dined and given the royal treatment for up to 3-4 years of recruitment. I have little sympathy for the "its too hard" and "I thought Id play more" reactions.

Doesn't matter if it's true or not about CBJ and/or staff riding players too hard, the perception is out there now. In many people's mind, perception is reality so CBJ and company are going to have to find a way to address this before it starts affecting recruiting. You can bet other schools are using this against us right now.

Again... I don't know if it's true or not but the perception is a problem.

Ask any marine if his DI was hard on him. A football coach needs to instill toughness in his players and needs to get their attention. Sounds like these players' expectations are not what they should be.

Just win. Winning will take care of the perception.

Complete bs, people sure have taken recent events and run with it. Kirkland must like getting abused then huh? I bet he can't wait to get here and get ripped and new one. SMH.

I can see Nick Saban now.

Recruit - What is it going to be like when I get on campus coach?

Saban - Oh recruit, you've got nothing to worry about. It'll be ice cream and lolipops every day!! Especially compared to that scary evil man in orange...BUTCH JONES!!

We know he expects hard work on the field, in the weight room and in the classroom.

Maybe that is a problem for some.

I know not many of us were expecting him to declare or anything, but Hubbs confirmed it. Von Pearson should be back next year. With his ankle injury, he wasn't able to put up the numbers he wanted/needed. He's also in good academic standing. So VP should be good to go next season.

Good grief. Michigan has reportedly offered Jim Harbaugh $8M+ per year.

Kudos to Michigan for antying up and putting together a deal that is almost impossible to say no to. If he says yes and has them playing in multiple playoffs, Michigan won't regret paying him that amount.

Also, shout out to Volatil for helping a brotha out tonight. Being able to study all night is a lifesaver.
