Lol, possibly my favorite line from that movie.

Love me some Christopher Nolan. Though I was a little bit letdown from Interstellar. I mean I liked it. I did. But it was just a little bit too "out there" for me. Which means a lot coming from me. Ha. I'm a nerd.

Is that John Adams' illegitimate son?

Am I the only one that caught this from the article?

------
"Tennessee squeezed into a 13th game by splitting its first 12. It reached its first bowl game since '10 by a hair, or, more precisely, a 24-17 home win against 3-9 Vanderbilt in the regular-season finale. "
------

I guess if he saw it on tv or photos of it then it would be easy for an outsider to make that mistake. :eek:lol:

Didn't see it. Read about the science being a little too inaccurate (planets located too closely to a black hole).

That writer has to be reading the football forum if he thinks this team underachieved

So far one writer from Iowa totally 'gets it.' He said we strung together the most satisfying 6-6 season in all of college football and explained why we were pumped for this game and why there's so much optimism around the program. Of course, that writer was smart enough to pick up the phone and talk to Fortenberry who he relied on for a lot of info. and quotes from him. That article called our fanbase more accurately than most of our writers let alone the other Iowa writers who are operating on assumptions. There's a unique situation here and they're getting burnt by not realizing that.

Got a link to that article?

Ehhhh, I can accept things like that being in a movie. That doesn't really bother or affect me. But this got more Weird than that. Again I liked it though. But I give it probably a 7-7.5 or so now. Whereas inception and the dark knight are more of a 10/10 for me

Inception was incredible. Heard a 2nd one is coming. Stoked for that.

High school classmate who I still keep up with on Facebook has that same sour Bama fan living in Tennessee outlook. It's not enough that they're perennial NC players...they have an unnatural aversion to anything positive happening for us...runs counter to their god that these things run in cycles. Suggesting possible success for Tennessee is tantamount to legalizing marriage between black and white people.

I take it you haven't told them it's been legal for ~40 years and goes on all the time? :birgits_giggle:

Way too much exposition and explanation. Nolan and his brother need to study the phrase "Show, don't tell" a little more closely before writing their next script together.

That said, I thought Interstellar was an excellent movie. Just gets bogged down a bit by too much dialogue. No need to explain everything...just let the scenes speak for themselves.

bammers hate UT about as much as we hate them. My brother and I were fishing with a guide on Pickwick Lake in April of this year. The lake straddles TN, MS, and AL so the game wardens of each state have reciprocal powers on the lake. It was really cold and my brother broke out his blaze orange hunting coat to wear in the boat to stay warm. The guide told him he should probably turn it inside out in case a AL game warden happened by so they wouldn't harass us. He said that if there were 15 boats in a cove the AL game warden would pick on the one boat that showed any kind of orange. He said it is like red to a bull. Even though it is not even close to the same color orange. Stupid bammers.

Given how often other schools can't seem to tell our color apart from any other hue or shade of orange, I have to presume a large amount of orange/green color-blindness and stupidity is hindering them. Orange/green color-blindness is quite common in the US male population across all races/ethnicities (in fact it's more common here than it is in most other nations) but mostly I blame it on utter stupidity.

My favorite Christopher Nolan movie is "Memento".

SIAP - Basilio is saying that Alvin Harper Sr. ran Cecil Cherry off because we did not offer Alvin Jr. a scholarship.

The Tony Basilio Show

I don't get it. Alvin Jr does have an Arizona State offer, but after that his best offer is Toledo. Then a bunch of D-II offers. Don't get why he'd want to drive away another kid too out of spite, if true

Basilio seems to say a lot of off-the-wall things. How many of them are true?
