I think he's well beyond the idiot stage and into the idiot with real problems that need to be dealt with. Unfortunately, it looks like he is determined to actually do serious prison time rather than deal with whatever is behind his behavior. He's out of school and out of the pros now so there's no one out there who is going to offer him a hand to figure it out. I wonder if he realizes that he's running out of chances.

You're spoiled in the Diamond and Cirrus. I'm flying this old Cherokee. At least we own it so all I have to do is pay for fuel.

Random question but you don't happen to be rated in a multi do you? My old man owns a 310 and was trying to get involved flying the coaches on recruiting trips but he's having a hard time finding a second pilot who can fly a twin and is able to fly on weekdays.

No, unfortunately I am still working on my privates license. I know a couple of people that might be interested. They are full instrument, CFI, multi engine. Your dad's initials aren't JB are they?

The sad thing is watching someone that young throw their life away (actually it sucks watching anyone regardless of age go down this path of self-destruction). It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion and being powerless to stop it. Whenever I see stuff like that I wish there was a way to force them into whatever therapy or help they need to get their act together but you can't do that and it won't do much good if they don't want help.

No. They are JD though lol. He flys out of RNC. If you know anyone though I can give you my email.

As a student, going into finals was terrible. I had to hold a 3.7 GPA to keep my scholarship. If I lost scholarship, I couldn't afford to go anymore.

Sitting through exams knowing your grades, financial aid, and potential career were on the line was TURRRABLE

Yeah I really am. I flew a 140 with a guy a few times but he was a complete & total d bag so I ended that pretty quick.

Sounds exactly like something I wanna do. I'm not about the airline lifestyle..not for me at all. Give me about six months and I'm your guy :). Lol.

The guys at Smyrna say Butch & co come through the fbo at CFM all the time..I haven't seen them yet though.

Are you using an aviation GPS App?

I like the low wing planes better than the high wing planes. When I finish I may look around for a Bonanza, Debonair. I would like something that I can cruise at 160+ and haul four people in a single. One of my instructors is a huge Bonanza guy and he's also a mechanic so he's pushing those on me. I love the Cherokee but 110MPH is a little slow. Cheap plane to operate though.
