I would've been perfectly fine with using the BCS rankings to determine the top 4 or whatever.
I know everyone hates FSU but I think it's ludicrous that they're on the fence at #4 while being the only power 5 team that's undefeated.
Within 5 years, I would bet this thing will be expanded to 12-16 teams and the regular season will become even more watered down. Then we'll be seeing arguments over the final 3 or 4 spots with a ton of 9-3 teams *****ing about being left out.

I have always thought 8 or 16 was fine. If you want the regular season to mean more, then 8. But for me, it was always ludicrous that we were basically out after losing to UF in September. Not all good teams are perfect. I know it's not the NFL, but they know how to create interest. You may think their regular season is watered down, but it really isn't. There is a fine line in making the playoffs, and wild card teams have shown many times to be the best team at the end if the year. JMO.
Not sure what's true, but if these guys can't handle hard coaching and high expectations than it's probably good they are leaving. Looks like there's a tough culture being built that rubs some guys the wrong way.
Jason Carr leaving last May was surprising but maybe there is a trend.
All I know if our team fights tooth and nail for the win until the final whistle. If there are some casualties along the way to develop really good mental toughness then so be it. CBJ has said before that they look for a certain type of player to recruit into their program. Some guys just may not be cut out for it.
I just hope TCU or Baylor get in. I can pull for Oregon. I hate Bama, FSU, and OSU. If OSU and FSU played in the championship I honestly would pull for a sinkhole or asteroid at the stadium before one of them to win.
Florida must have had another decommitment. 7 3*'s is all they have listed. Currently 95th in recruiting.
I think it should go to 8 teams and that be it no matter what... And the teams should be decided like this
5 = each of the power conference champs should get in (keeps the conf champ games meaningful)
Then, bring back the BCS and use it to decide the other three --
1 = the top ranked non-power conference team regardless of rank
2 = the next two highest ranked at-large teams regardless of conference.
They should be seeded based on however they fall in the BCS. Then you could either play it out like a standard quarterfinal setup (1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, etc...) or give the 1-4 seeds a bye in the first round and only 5-8 play and then pick it up like a semifinal setup.
